Not in the 17 Saturday but in the 21, could have made a difference in the game, hopefully not injured but surprised he was not in the 17

or have I missed something ?

After watching his performance v Sheffield I think he was dropped. He has more ability than most but at times can appear disinterested.  JK knows how to man manage.

I think this underlines why Adam Lawton isn't playing in Super League.  He can be devastating when he wants to be due to his sheer size but can have off days and can struggle defensively sometimes.

I do feel we are a much better team with him in it though.

I always get the impression he can take it or leave it.I doubt he will even be fazed by getting dropped.

He certainly has massive ability and will quite possibly regret, in later life, that he didn't use it more.

The main requirement on Saturday was determination and sheer grit and that maybe why he was in the stand.

If that was the requirement then why was Bent not playing ?

Have to say I was more surprised Bent wasn't in the 17 than Lawton.

Newcastle took a hiding at home to London on Saturday, I think Lawton as an attacking weapon should be effective against them.

I think its either Brown or Bent in the team depending on the team. We'd be a bit lightweight with them both but it may get to that stage if we pick any more injuries.

Well if other comments on the board are true, there is no jj or Hatton as both concussed, Lawton and bent in I expect, or is farnworth ready yet ?

Farnworth back 7th April against Swinton mate. Luckily Lawton and Bent can come into the team. Still banging the drum for a few loan players.

Reckon we only have 21 fit players so loan signing really needed soon

@mick-george

That was a puzzle! My guess was that JK must have wanted more mobility, hence Brown.

Bent has become a great worker defender and straightforward metre-maker and against Toulouse would have been a good addition in my view.

In truth we probably needed both!
