4 missed kicks ....poor. poor reffing. Poor decision making by us. 2 points given away!!
@former-chemic I’m a Season Ticket holder and couldn’t make Saturday Afternoon because of work commitments I thought it was a ridiculous time to schedule the game it should have been at the original kick off time or Friday Evening
[Deserved to win that. Missed kicks killed us and Referee poor, again]
Spot on V25. Plenty of effort put in today but I was also disappointed about our poor decision making when we are close to their line.
And, the young (teenage?) referee for last weeks cup game was head and shoulders above todays official, who made bad decisions affecting both sides throughout the game.
Who was the ref? Didn't recognise him.....!
There for the taking, some very poor decisions from the officials, however we lost it when Jack coughed up that knock on
lets beat them at their place !
Goal kicking - What happened to Joey Edge kicking from all over all over the pitch a sort time agao - today not even tried? Is JJ injured again only on the pitch for a short time and did not reappear.
Glad I was wrong but we blew that today stupid mistakes and missed goals . The effort is fantastic and can't be faulted but we are crying out for a centre who can beat a man and is a threat edge and Fleming both real solid we just missing a game breaker at times !! Thought Hatton was outstanding in his stint
@quincy1 JJ came on the fieldzat the end on crutches. Let's hope it is not as bad as it looks.
I thought today was Fozzard's best ever game to date in a Widnes shirt. He took the ball up a lot more & made good yards & the 40 / 20 was excellent.
@geoffw You sure that wasn’t Ashall?
JJ got injured first half straight through the middle. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s his shoulder again
Fozard was outstanding and we saw a good pack effort.
Unfortunately, our senior HB and Captain were not, for the first time, able to take the game by the scruff of the neck and made errors. That cost us more than a very eccentric refereeing performance.
The same Fozzard who cost us lost us the game by cutting back inside despite having a two man overlap even though we had a man in the bin I beg to differ.I thought today was Fozzard's best ever game to date in a Widnes shirt. He took the ball up a lot more & made good yards & the 40 / 20 was excellent.
Three wins from six isn't great, hard luck stories don't count on the league table.

Yes, I agree, in the final analysis, key errors and decison-making at key times cost us dearly. But we have lost 2 league games by 2 points in the last 2 minutes and we are competing extremely well, most weeks.
Toulouse were faster, stronger and classier that we were, but we showed huge grit, determinaton and resolve to stay in the fight despite once more, the best efforts of the official!
When we wrestled the game back from them, we needed the composure and guile to just see the game out, and there were some poor individual decisions which cost us in the end. Unusually, we didn't kick any goals - which proved the difference. But this full-time Toulouse team is the best in the division, and we stuck with them and should have won, so I think we should recognise that the team are improving very quickly and are almost at a very high standard in this league already. They deserve great praise for today's performance in my view, and we can get even better! COYV!
