todays results almost certain top three are away now and Widnes need to watch thier backs to keep 4th.

Sheffield Barrow Doncaster will be eyeing 4th especially if Widnes as expected lose to London next week

not going to be easy to hang on to 4th spot

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure Doncaster will finish 4th, as we will probably lose to London, they will only have to win 5 out of their last 6 matches as their points difference will be a lot better than ours, as they have to play Goole and North Wales

Looking at the fixtures of the teams around us i think we will come 5th. I can not see us beating London, but be nice to give them a game. Our other fixtures are winnable.

5th should be a definite, if we lose to London we will still be ahead of Barrow on points difference. Then we have Halifax and Workington that we should be winning,Fax reforming with the loss of 8 players are on 8 wins and Worky up from League 1 are in 5 wins compared to our 15.

The potential banana skin is Sheffield away, they are not as strong this year but are still decent on 13 wins from 19 games and we also have the uncertainity of when the game will be played to contend with.

Doncaster are not guaranteed 4th if we lose to London though as they have games vs Oldham at home, Barrow away and Sheffield at home. If they lose 1 of those and we lose to London it will go down to points difference. You would expect that to favour Doncaster as they have games vs North Wales and Goole. We are 51 points ahead of them at the moment. We need to keep the score down vs London and then get 2 big wins vs Fax and Worky. We beat Fax 54-0 in the home fixture, so we have a chance.

A 4th place finish would be a home tie likely vs Barrow or Sheffield in 6th place. A 5th place finish would see us play 3rd away so Oldham or Newcastle.

James i think come mid August we should get a better shspe of the table standings after seeing how teams around us up to 8th. Then we can see if the Sheffield game really matters.
