Seems like a bit of apathy that no one has discussed the game prior to it being played so I thought I would start one after the game finished.
Goole 0-50 Widnes. First half we led 10-0 but could have been 20 if not for some daft decisions, defence was excellent even with numerous six agains but really should have capitalised on our attack. Second half playing into the wind we ripped them apart and Lawton should have had a hat trick, Gilmore attacking the line more and Fozzard superb at half back. Richardson had his best game for us scoring two tries and my MOTM. Playing anything like this last week would have gotten a win against Doncaster or Oldham.
Onwards now to Crusaders👍👍
The opposition Goole are a much worse side than Oldham and Doncaster. How come Langtree kicking the goals over Richardson and Gilmore. We do need to beat the top sides and i do hope we can give London a game in the final.
Sorry Pascal, was Langtree kicking? I suspect that is the BBC website with their usual in depth and accurate reporting. On the radio they said Richardson with Gilmore landing the last one.
Difficult conditions to play in, but Widnes took everything Goole could throw at them then just took a tired defence apart. Everyone would have loved at least one win in the previous two, but there were some good points out of this one, not least Sergent getting his debut.

It is 2 points and hopefully Richardson does improve with more game time. Shame he can not play in the 1895 Cup final.
I still hope Widnes want ambition to find top investors foe a chance at the top level.
I thought we were a bit quiet in the first half, but Seargant scored a good try.
But we played a lot better in the second half. Lawton played well again and unlucky not to get a hat trick. Mc Whirter had a good game as well and Richardson played better in the second half.
Sargent played well and often came inside looking for the ball and made a few breaks.
We had 3 tries disallowed and brought back a couple of times when clear. Billington had another good game.
We need to play like this against Barrow in a fortnight, if we beat them, we have a good chance of finishing ahead of them in the table.
Bad news Bent got a bad injury and could be out for the season.
Google are a low end league 1 club. I haven’t watched the Donny or Goole games on my YouTube account because I don’t have the belief we are a competitive club pushing for the top 3 which means we are way off a super league team so again lack of ambition from the board. Hopefully we play well in the final
