The ref is giving our lads no protection at all. At this rate this could damage the rest of our season!

Seriously I can’t listen anymore, the commentary keeps dropping out every 15 seconds. How has this not been noticed by radio merseyside

Think Ant Walker’s head knock might have forced him off at HT.

no sign of Fleming, Hatton, Eckersley or Walker on bench just Will Tilleke last man standing!

Unfortunate today and no lack of effort, but it’s so boring watching us.

No shape when attacking and an incredible lack of creativity

We were never going to win that game, but we do expect a fair crack of the whip off the referee. Featherstone do not need any help from the officials which they got in bucketfuls today. That first half refereeing exhibition was atrocious. Perpetual offsides & forward passes went unpunished. 4 headknocks in one half is not bad luck or coincidence . They were obviously intentional. Just 1 yellow card for a direct hit to the head for all to see when it was a clear red in the second half. The club should definitely put in a complaint. This is the clown we had at Sheffield away too.

Having said the above we must now loan a creative  half back & at least another big prop unless we want to start losing to the bottom half of the table sides.

Hopefully we don’t lose a lot of players to injuries as we can’t afford to start playing our squad players as not good enough at this level

Put the sour grapes away. There were 3 HIA departures for Widnes in the first half and none of them were remotely due to any foul play.

Fleming appeared to collide heads (possibly with his own team mate Ince?). Eckersley was superbly tackled and put on his back by Day and Lacans, nothing remotely illegal about it, no Widnes players protested about it and if you want to blame anyone for that injury it has to be the pitch.

And as for Hatton - when Yei offloaded high into the air, Riley Dean jumped up to catch the ball and Hatton launched himself head first at his legs whilst he was still airborne, could have badly injured Dean but only managed to injure himself.

I don't know who the other HIA was, if there was one.

Not the best from the Ref, why give the youngest official in the RFL the biggest game of the weekend in the Championship.

We can still definitely do Top 6, but realistically the Half Back situation must be addressed in the two weeks before we play Swinton. Owens is not the answer; he has had a few games there now; that pass that he tried attacking them in the first half was one of the worst I have ever seen.

I'm happy to be corrected but I'm pretty sure it is the first time we have been nilled at home in the Championship/NFP....injuries or not that is not acceptable.

I hope you are right about top 6, but I not so sure unless we get Gilmore back

I think a loan stand off to play with Gilmore who must be close to being ready by Swinton would be ideal.

My short summary is...

Featherstone are a well drilled side and deserved to win.

Widnes lacked a competent half back, played boring rugby and deserved to lose.

Referee was poor and despite the curious comments from LL, missed far too much foul play.

Well I missed today's game due to work, but I knew before kick off it be a lost. 2 halfbacks who are not good enough in this pivotal position. What bothers me Kear is passed his best as a coach, and his tactics are dull and boring.

On a positive players never gave up it seems, and if we created more then we would not be under pressure as much.  Gilmore back and a loan halfback will improve our team ten fold. Also Featherstone are the best side in the league and will be promoted. Next year we need to find investors and buy some extra quality, and no Amor type players who are topping up there pension. 🥖🥖💪👍

I think Fev are the best team in the Championship. Big, fit, fast, and well drilled in the dark arts of conning the referee and violent high tackles.

The referee lost control of the game. Why the yellow card (stiff arm tackle, straight to the head) was not a red is hard to understand particularly as we had already lost 3 players due to head injuries. It could easily have been 4.

Fev are good enough to win without having to turn to such "dubious" tactics.

We need to applaud our players for keeping the second half score down to two tries.

I thought Fozzard had a great game.
