Barrow game

No surprises in the 22 man squad, Owens and Doro back from injury and Lawton (suspended) and Dixon (injured) out.

I suppose the team will be something like:-

Owens. Ince. Tyrer. Roberts. Edge. Craven. Smith. Farnworth. Fozard. Doro. Wilde. Davies. Bent.

Subs - Baker. Johnson. Tilleke (as Lawton unavailable) and Lyons or Fleming.

Lawton will be badly missed, unfortunate for Fleming if he misses out as he has played well in Owens absence.

Tilleke actually played quite well with a bit more aggression the last time he came on, hopefully he utilises his size a bit more.

I know edge had a decent game last week but I would be having Fleming starting wing over him personally

Fleming deserves to play. He’s been our best three quarter over the course of the season and has been good at fullback when called upon. Not sure who we leave out and if Owens and Tyrer (who was relieved of the kicking duties during the game at Batley and looked to be limping at the end it is a tough decision who to leave out.

Possibly put Owens on the wing? Or Fleming? Jack is involved in the moves so he may get the full back role. But I agree Fleming deserves his place in the starting 13. Widnes by 8 tomorrow. WTID ⚫🏁⚪

I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow although I’m getting up at 5:30am to watch it, I am not sure how the game will go but finally I get it to watch a match. I think the restructuring will provide a platform to watch all the games live

I'm confident Kear won't select anyone not 100% fit, so if Tyrer has a leg problem Fleming will be a decent replacement for him.

Starting team: Fleming, Ince, Tyrer, Roberts, Edge: Craven, Smith: Farnworth, Fozard, Johnson, Davies, Wilde, Bent.

Bench: Doro, Brown, Tilleke, Lyons.

Owens unfit or not selected due to Fleming's form I wonder?

I’m sorry but I really don’t see what Will brings to the team. Is Baker injured?

You’d have to assume Baker has picked up a knock. Would surely be in the 17 otherwise. Not a bad side that overall though. Should be competitive.

Can’t help but think we look like a team of dildos. Conceding after a minute and a half doesn’t challenge this thought…….

To be very fair, we’re playing well and Barrow score was very much against run of play.

12-16

Ht 16-12. Once we settled down we have played well but have to mark Sammut better, 👍👍
