As has happened in previous seasons we’ve hit a point where injuries are stacking up and we are low on numbers, we definitely need to add into the squad and bring some body’s in, with MT recently coming in and big Will going (doubt he was on much) this should free up some spends but who could we ideally get? Bradford brought 2 Aussies from lower leagues over could we possibly do the same? Either way we need bodies in fast if we want to keep pushing for play offs.
Probably just scab off Warrington when it's beyond desperate...but What's Alex Gerrard doing ...sure he hasn't even got a club
Short on numbers, but always name a 21 man squad each week. How many players do folk want on the payroll? If we were down to 17 then bring someone in, if available. At the minute there's no panic.

@pauliewalnuts Down to 18/19 fit players some who don’t get a sniff in at 1st team games and keep naming players who are injured to make the 21 man squad you’re right we don’t need to panic but maybe we could be proactive and have players in place for any injuries sustained in training/games.
It would be a shame to see the good start to the season scuppered but I would expect the club are on to it.One game at a time is the saying but there's no doubt a tough run is coming up.

Think Roby could be an option in the centres - will be chomping at the bit
@mckviking he’s done ok runs the ball in hard but nothing special yet… however don’t really rate Fleming so it’s a tough one who id rather have.
@johng it might take a few games for him to feel part of the setup, his link up play etc. he looked out of position for a couple of tries conceded though and if we can get him up to full speed hopefully he can be an improvement. Fleming isn’t the best player but I guess it comes down to who we can afford and who wants to come to widnes after the last 5 seasons outside of the playoffs
Personally I would like a loan prop/backrower forward until Reilly, Field and Langers are virtually fit again to play. I have been a big critic of Lyons but Coleman has got him playing half decent and is durable which is definitely a big bonus. Roby and Walker to come in but to keep players fit and fresh I do feel a couple of forwards from Warrington or Leigh. It seems Alan has a good connection with Leigh and we don't seem to have a close one with Warrington. 🥖🥖

Yeah Langtree is the type of player need now who is a No nonsense player. Is he out for the season or will he play again? Gutted a top player and big miss.
So how many players injured and time frames? Flemming, Ince, Reilly, Langtree, Field and Gregson out injured so I make it 6 players. Good job we have some robust players in the squad and possibly opportunities for Roby, Walker, Brooks and Dixon now. As Ditton Donkey mentioned a back rower needed to replace Langtree because he seems a big miss in the team. The depth of squad needs strengthening with at least 2 loan forwards from Leigh or Warrington or 3 if include Nisbet.
