Well said Paulie and Prisoner.Who gives a shite anyway about people struggling to pay ? Fook em.
People moan about the DCBL sponsorship but what about major sponsorship of rl by gambling companies that can cause people to be in debt in the first place? At least we have a sponsor and don’t need to create one as before.
I don't like how the sponsor of this club is a debt collector. They are hurting a lot of people in this town who are struggling to pay their bills. The club should care more about the community and not just the money. The typo on their logo is bad, but the sponsor is worse! We also have a PDRL team, working in the charity sector. Debt collectors are ravaging this community!
If a debt collector wanted to put their money into the Lions, I certainly wouldn't object!
However on the debit side, on the wrong spelling scenario, it is (in my opinion) very amateurish, and I find it difficult to believe that it was even allowed to transpire!
Spelly.
I guess it comes down to ethics. I won't be buying one!
@gofyn How to explain to your kids and grand kids that it is spelt wrong and makes a mockery of the town crest but it's alright.
@prisoner My understanding, reading a number of opinions, is that the jury is out on this. I am far from a Latin Scholar but I would like someone to definitively provide the appropriate sources to evidence their claims.
The jury isn't out,the spelling is incorrect. It is Ditat, always has been. Why would it suddenly change after over 100 years ? Somebody has made a blunder and it isn't the manufacturer because Hamilton would be quick enough to comment if it involves blaming somebody else. The silence is because it's happened on his watch.
It's an issue that needs rectifying but it's hardly end of the world stuff. I doubt anyone under the age of 50 gives a monkey's. I'm over 50, and am a stickler so, I agree it should be rectified. I just don't think excommunicating someone for it is warranted.
Does anyone know when the new training gear will be on sale
Re: Latin wording (Ditat) does anyone know if this has been rectified now?
I’m not keen to buy a home shirt until it’s right (don’t start with if it is or isn’t - history is on that side) but will gladly handover my xmas pressie money if it’s correct now?

A dilemma for the club.Supposing the first 500 tops are sold out do they order another run with the correct spelling and thereby admitting their mistake or do they order another batch with the same error ? How can they tell the first 500 customers that they were mis sold goods ?
@sinbad The people buying are aware of the mistake everyone wants the club to admit their mistake but that is beyond Hamilton. Myself and my son heve not purchased along with a few more who go the game, I probably would have bought if the club admitted their mistake. The biggist issue is the large badge across the shirt that stands out more than the smaller one.
