What has happened to YOUR transparency to us mere mortal fans ?.

We have been waiting for the new kit to buy as gifts for christmas, they come out but the town crest is wrongly spelt. Despite lots of fans pointing this out on social media and asking is it going to be rectified there is once again silence from the club, you just put them on sale as though nothing matters to the fans. Well guess what Mr Hamilton lots of us will not be buying tops or nothing else unless the club at least admits the error. How was this allowed to happen ?.

In 92/93 we we went a whole season with a town crest with a misspelling on it (Industra Ditat) not heard any complaints to this day 🤷

It's a howler and 2 wrongs don't make it right. I suspect it's a (another) Hamilton error but surely it was run by the board @steelviking

Kid - Dad, can I have the new Widnes top for Xmas?

Dad - But son, they've made a mis-spelling on the town's Latin motto.

Sh*t's given by most people - 0%.

I didn't know so many Widnes fans spoke and read Latin. Fucks sake I couldn't give a crunchie because if I like the top I will buy one. 😂👍 🥖🥖🇫🇷

@pascal obviously certain people of a certain age that have seen it over the years know what it means and how it's supposed to be written..

Personally couldn't give a fudge as I don't wear rugby tops, most people that wear them look like they have a medicine ball hidden underneath for some reason 🤣🤣

Not much point in having the Latin motto on the shirt if it isn't spelt correctly.May as well have Wdnes instead of Widnes if it doesn't matter.

Fair one mate and I have also watched Widnes since a wee boy. I am late 40s now and first game watched was in 1984. Yeah not very professional, but nobody here moaning has decided to join the board to sort it out 😂

It's a object lessen to not believe everything 'Mr Google' tells you.

I'd suspect that anyone under the age of 50 would not recognise the spelling mistake as the Town Crest has been mainly obsolete/ignored since we amalgamated with Runcorn into the Borough of Halton in 1974. Others, of a certain age (myself) were familiar with Industria Ditat, as it was on all the Widnes buses etc. I think if you are going to do something, then do it right. It's basic standards. Industria Dita is just a follow on f@ck up from the Will Tilleke embarrassment of last season.

Paulie xx

Whilst it is an amateurish error, as has been pointed out it won't mean much to most people and unless it is a mistake by the manufacturers there is not a cat in hell's chance of them being recalled and reprinted.

If Widnes had been spelt as Wdnes then every man and his dog would spot that as English and not Latin is our first language.

Whilst the sponsor is not everyone's cup of tea, due mainly I would surmise to what folk have seen on the TV series, they do have a roll to play chasing down the bastards who take stuff and think that it is ok not to pay for it. Are these people meant to be allowed to get away with it? The police are not interested in pursuing them.

I called at  the Market Outlet today to see if the season tickets were available where I was told that they are being posted out.  How many will arrive in time for Christmas be lost or not at all as this period is the heaviest time for postal deliveries.

Tickets priced on line for the preseason friendly in January currently priced at South Stand A,B,C sections @ £12.00, the remaining sections @ £40.00
