I get that the foundation have a seperate account but the club could still give the foundation teams greater funding if they wanted to, like York have done to really push the womens team and now Wigan have done the same.

One thing just of interest is if we can only spend a 400k cap on the mens team but someone comes in putting in 50k a year. If SL becomes a closed shop and the Championship a feeder league, would you give the womens team a push and get them from the Champ to SL?

On promotion to SL, we all know Huddersfield are in dire straights with only 4 points and crowds of 4k but also hearing rumours of York being in financial difficulty. Another side without the fan base to support full time RL. London are going up but we need to be ready with a decent side and off field setup for the next Salford situation. We missed the boat last time, we cant afford to again.

That would mean spending money.

Paulie xx

@farnworth-viking There lies the problem with the game today. The people at the top simply do not care about the game below SL.

The Club and other Clubs with ambition to get into SL, rather than meekly accepting their role as feeder clubs, should be demanding answers from the RFL about future promotion and relegation between SL and the Championship. The RFL should have answers now to the issues facing the Championship this season, to avoid similar chaos next year; not wait until after the 2027 season has started to address those issues.

Without that clarification, how can the Clubs make any future plans? If the concept of feeder clubs is accepted for the Championship - maybe already there with Newcastle and York - what is the point  of continuing. It is clear that a feeder club for Warrington is a Warrington team, no matter what they are called; and it would be ridiculous to suggest that a feeder club could be promoted to SL.

As a matter of interest, what happened to Nigel's strategic plan announced earlier this year? Maybe he needs another fag packet to review that strategy; or was his strategy simply to get Bradford promoted and sod the rest.

The Championship has been a total mess this year and the fault lies firmly with the RFL, who seem to have no plan other than an annual trip to Las Vegas.

@pauliewalnuts  If the club get a 50k sponsorship deal its up to them how they spend it unless stipulated by the company involved. Transfering a percentage to the foundation being one option at the clubs discretion. The more sponsorship and grants received by the foundation the less input needed from the club.

London will be going up, no need to worrry

well that’s not what I read - RFL saying they will stick to the grading system and.shuddesrfield have just announced new electronic scoring systems which gets them another .125 points

London crowds will have to do a lot to beat them - 1500 in a 15000 capacity as opposed to a 5000 in a 26000

it would be great to see London not qualify and then their player budget would be … ?
