a couple of poor tackles gave them scores, but we battled back well, pity we could not score before half time

They are a different class to us, sorry to say but they are. Can’t seem to break the line and they are moving up really fast to catch us.

I think it's a good indicator as to where we are now, but there's a long way to go and we don't have to be the finished article yet. No need to hit any panic buttons and get carried away.
We'll learn a lot from it, Owens and Craven are big misses but we were second best in every department tonight. I don't think we should have too many complaints, learn from it and move on. Let's not forget Leigh are full time and have thrown all their money at this team, we got what most people would have expected.
We were totally outclassed in all departments from minute one. Faster line speed, quicker play the balls and a pack that could carry the ball. What did annoy me was the “luck” factor we had none at all and when you are down it rubs your nose in it.
Leigh were better in every aspect of the game....faster, stronger, more clinical when they got chances......God help us when we play Featherstone.
We got a reality check in forward play. Our props have looked rough and strong upto now but looked like a couple of schoolboys against the Leigh forwards. We only competed for the last 10 minutes of the first half. Our wingers seem incapable of defending the touchline wanting to rush inside. This is nothing new, we have been making the same mistake for years.
We need to go again on Monday and keep the momentum going in the keague to make sure of a play off place and hope we meet Leigh or Feath when they are having an off day as it is now clear how far ahead they are. We are not necessarily a bad team, unfortunately we look and play like a part time team which is not enough against full time professionals (apart from when we were the full time team)
It looked like what it was. A full time team against a part time one. We couldn’t match their intensity and it was effectively over as a contest very early. Disappointing but we need to bounce back by beating Barrow next week and not allow that heavy defeat to affect subsequent performances.

I suspect it was the unsavoury chanting about former players especially Mellor which probably incited him to play better! He was MOM for me. Also aimed at Kevin Brown before the kick off. It is unpleasant & reflects badly on the club & fans.
Heart: It really winds me up to lose like that to Leigh.
Head: It was always going to happen given the disparity in finances.
Hope we can get back to the level Leigh and Fev are at in the next 2-3 years.
Genuinely hate us as the PT underdogs but what is to be done other than rebuild and come back like Fev have done...
I left n the hooter and didn’t see, but club statement says some went on the pitch at the end. Why even do that after a good hiding? Add to that the incident where our fans were throwing their beer ‘cups’ onto the pitch at Leigh players and we could be in trouble again!
I think the worst aspect though is that we were on TV and if this was seen and mentioned it will reflect badly on us and the sport. Yes we outsang the Leigh lot in the main, but we also out-swore them too which yet again reflects poorly. Bad game for us all round.
On the result, we deserved it! We looked like a beaten team when we started the game. Took the ball standing still, continually tried to run up the middle against a bigger team, poor kicking game, failed to meet them at the play of the ball - pretty much failed to do everything we have been doing well. That said, to be very fair, Leigh made few mistakes and were very strong, stopping us making ground throughout the game.
On the injury front, we look to have picked up a couple of serious knocks as Roby and Brookes both left the field not to return, Roby in particular looked to be in a bad way with an ankle injury I think, though Brookes perhaps hamstring or dead leg. Bad game all round really!
