@geoffw so if you add last years teams and Fev and Halifax we'd be 12th that's unacceptable to not be fighting for the top is a poor poor effort and we sort of bring it on ourselves be a interesting week

@vikingfox71 I agree it is very frustrating.  Wiyh Abdul in the side today we would probably have won as he would have created tries near the line as he has when he has played. Continually playing Lyons & Gregson who no supporter would choose as first choice is also frustrating as was letting Hughes go to Salford a 24 year old half back yet retaining Lyons. Letting Bibby go & no replacement brought in. Apparently today at final whistle the players taken  off the field ignoring going over to the fans.

What is going on? We shoot ourselves in the foot time after time.

Maybe not won but would have been  more competitive. Now I know Abdul has his defensive weaknesses but he more than makes up in other aspects of his game. Is it not a coaches role to work out a way of covering any defensive problems he may cause? Think to the past...Owen Craigie...similar situation. Did we allow his talent to come through?

Now if Abdul is injured..say so !!!!

Cut out the he's not fit comments......sort put a way of accommodating him.....he doesn't play..two defeats where the good  defence is there but lacking in attack scenario yet again becomes the norm. AC do your job!!!! Sort it.

That being the case the players should have had the guts to ignore him and go and thank the people who travelled all that way and gave up thier time and money to watch them................it`s only good manners.

Now the question is what will he do next week.......

If Abdul is available.......does he play or is AC so arrogant he omits him anyway.

Or if he is injured or unavailable just say so.

What a knob the fans love Abdul what does the clown expect. This for me says i rather Coleman out and Abdul IN. I am fuming the guy has not learned in 3 years i want Coleman gone now. Lyons and Gregson are bang average and this playing back rowers at prop is the final nail in the coffin. How can we attract new fans being mediocre once again. I have had enough of Coleman now.

Times up for Coleman now he’s had his chance and he’s never took it, poor team selection poor man management and poor recruitment.

Abdull was fit enough to help us in the last 5 games and we win, then we return to the worst half back pairing in the championship and the results speak for them self. And the disrespect towards us travelling fans was poor shame on Coleman

Extraordinary at the end yanking the players off ... especially when one person in that bunch of fans was our chairman....can't say I noticed it but by all accounts from both sides that's exactly what happened ...if I was tim Holmes or anyone that's busting their guts trying to improve crowds .. engagement etc ...I'd be absolutely mortified seeing that ...

Bang on mate it is disgusting not to acknowledge the fans who made the long trip to Barrow. It just seems wasted energy from Tim Holmes and Dave Rolt doing all this great work off the pitch. Yeah it is good but only if the product on the pitch is a winning team and every year get rid of important players. Abdul player of the month is dropped for 2 games and we all know Lyons not good enough. Why we sign project signings like Toby Hughes and Kieran Taylor who never play? No replacement for Bibby and Houghton never gets a sniff? That is 2 props that we need up against a team with 4 big props. If Coleman managed better and if does not rate Houghton, or Bibby then get 2 loans like Max Wood and Thomas from Warrington, who would give us more oomph up front? I think Abdul plays and 2 props like these we would have had more chance of winning because the best form of defence is attack. Time is up for Coleman he needs to be shown the door now before another disaster season. How is this going to entice fans back losing 2 to 4 games on the bounce?

@begg see what you are saying, but what coaches are out there ?

I agree his selection has been somewhat strange, playing his favourites all the time when they should be sat in the stand, and playing back rowers who play great off the edges at prop is downright clounical

the only way is up !

I agree wish i knew what coaches available, but it the basics 2 Props on the bench at least against a big Barrow side. A creative halfback a must mate and why all these project signings, because I want to see a winning first team.

There is coaches at other clubs in the league such as Kyle Eastmond, Ian Hardman, Paul Crarey, James Ford, Sean Long and Graham Steadman but would any be interested at Widnes for next season? Personally I do not think any would be much better than Alan Coleman. If Coleman would sign 2 extra props and bring a running halfback things would improve drastically. He also needs to stop picking his mates because fans want the best players on the pitch who will get results.

I wonder if Abdul is struggling mentally and Alan does not want to say in public? Nobody really knows but we all definitely want to see our creative halfback on the pitch.

@begg be terrible if that was the case and Alan is actually protecting him. What would all the angry folk say about his man management then 😶‍🌫️

none of those coaches have done anything of note either, the only one is James Ford but he didn’t do great with Fev. Andrew Henderson who did well with London struggled and left York after a short period too. Just because a coach works well at one club doesn’t always mean success at another

@scouseviking55 he wouldn't have dragged the players off on Sunday when the fans were singing the abdull song if he was protecting him , he would have embraced it
