Good coach seems to do well for Leigh leopards and Salford. Every year we seem to fail and the buck has to lie with the coach for poor performances.

Or we could say, we have one of if not the biggest following and best stadium in the league, we can challenge for the playoffs and with some smart investment to our squad who knows

@mckviking smart investment?

I like your positivity but I haven't seen smart investment in a long time.

@richard-richard I’d be bringing in a new coach with ambition for the club and have a clear out of current squad, maybe along the lines of: brookes, davies brown craven Lyons bent tilleke holroyd Fleming

Why are we blaming the coach? The squad wasn't good enough from the get go, possibly a hangover from the Finney years.

The club has spent money, unfortunately the biggest earners in the squad, Owens, Craven, JJ, Amor, and Gilly, have not been value for money.

The lack of props in the squad and the lack of an decent halfback is an issue that needs addressing by the club to stop our season being finished by June once again.

The coach is to blame because his tactics and motivation should get the best out of the players. He puts players like JJ at 13 when he is best at 9 and his tactics are crunchie. He should have been looking for a 6 or a prop, but he loves back rowers playing prop. The guy was crunchie at Bradford and he is an old dinosaur, and passed his best now.

Because it's his squad not Finnegans . A prime example of his inability was giving Tilleke a two year deal last October then not playing him even when we had no props for the London game amoung others. He signed other sub standard players so YES it's his fault. He plays the best hooker in the comp at LF and despite it not working continues with it, he plays a FB in the halves when we have a scrum half. Everybody knocks Joe but he is an out and out SH 100% better than a fat FB playing there. He won't drop the so called good players who have non performed week in week out but he has made Lyons the scapegoat. He keeps telling us (Betts style) that we did,t play well enough or show commintment so what does he do to rectify the mistakes and lack of effort ???  fudge all is the answer. JK is only contracted til the end of the year but there is nobody at the club capable of making a decision to bin him. Dwindling crowds not just because of defeats (that's part and parcel of sport) but because of the lack of commitment and effort and the boring RL thrown at us. IMO this needs addressing sooneer rather than later even season paid ticket holders are missing games.

Bang on Mick and very true. The reason I blame the coach and I bet plays JJ at 13 today too. I hope we win today as a supporter, but my confidence with Kear and his selections does not give me confidence.
