Was always going to be hard but winnable, what do folks reckon to team selection ?
assuming craven is out, is Gilmore available ?
Lyons seems way out of favour, so is it Jack in the halves again, this time at 6
roberts should be available now, but would stick with edge (really solid this season) and eckersley, but we need more creativity inside of him
walker should feature more - he has come on in leaps and bounds
is grady available ?
Kear said Craven has torn his calf muscle making his first kick of the game on his standing leg & likely to be out for a few weeks. He also said he is keeping Gilmore out of it until the Summer Bash v Swinton.
So I cannot see us troubling Featherstone without decent half backs. We really need a loanee for at least one of those positions if we can get one which is easier said than done.
I wouldn’t risk Gilly anyway against Fev. Can we declare now??? 🙄
If Gilmore is fit, he should play. A few clubs have given Featherstone a good game and we should be looking to do the same.
If the Club decide it is not worth playing the best team, because we are going to lose anyway, why should fans bother to to turn up and watch?

I would think if he doesn't play it's because he's not quite ready, I can't see Kear not going into the game trying to play his best team and win.
As a Fev fan I can say you are right in that a few teams have been very competitive against us (and Halifax, who you hammered at home, beat us in the Cup, albeit when we were missing a few). The Widnes half back injuries obviously don't help your cause but unless there are some surprise recoveries we are likely to be without Johnathan Ford, Elijah Taylor, Joey Leilua, Mark Kheirallah, Chris Hankinson, possibly Mackenzie Yei and Matthieu Cozza too, and our two young half backs both got battered by some very unsavoury Sheffield Eagles tactics last week. Fev will still obviously be favourites but it's a hard game to predict for me, we haven't looked anywhere near as dominant as a 10-10 record might suggest.

I think your squad depth and quality all round is much better than our team mate. Hope I am wrong but I see a Featherstone win unless improve ten fold.
@pascal I can't argue with that, but we're not so good as to be unbeatable if we play a bit below par and another team has a good day. If you play like you did against Halifax and we play like we did against them in the Cup, you'll probably beat us, appreciate those are big "ifs" though.
If both teams were full strength and been that way for a few games, I think we could give you a run for your money, but giving our half back problems at the moment and the clubs lack of addressing this I think we will struggle
Owens and Lyons in the halves.
A sad reality of where the club is at the moment.
Be lucky to score a try, never mind win the game
Listening on the radio and it keeps dropping in and out, every 20 seconds it goes off for a few seconds which is a technical glitch as I swapped over to other commentaries and no problems
0-12 looks like it’s a tough day at the office, is Fleming out for the game
I’m the first to criticise them, but this is tough on the players.
We’re on our 3rd full back in 25 minutes. 4th half back partnership in the last 100 minutes.
Eckersley off injured 🤕
0-18 with the technical glitch problem online radio it’s hard to keep listening
1 HIA can be considered unlucky… 3 makes me question Fev to be hornst
thats not coincidence
