We can’t afford to bring in top championship players so are dependent on local talent that want to play for widnes and aren’t offered full time contracts elsewhere. It is what it is until we find significant investment

Our coach Alan Coleman has issued an apology on the club website for not letting the players go over to the supporters at the end of the match at Barrow. He said it's been a bad 2 weeks both on & off the field but no further details which we may or may not discover.
For now that is acceptable to me but it is essential he learns from past selection errors & we win the next few matches. Abdull has got to be recalled. If not I fear some supporters will call it a day out of years of frustration & we would be unlikely to attract any new ones anytime soon.
@geoffw I assume the people, like myself, who would prefer to see JA playing must be fully aware of the circumstance surrounding his non selection? I am not, and I am not the only one. I hope any issues are resolved and we see a solution that benefits the club and the supporters.
