I am surprised Betfred have put us in top 6 by their betting odds. They have us 6th. Think odds are 26/1 ahead of York & Sheffield & just behind Halifax.
I be happy if we come 6th and bookies are not usually far off. Hopefully with a decent coach we can go to the next level. 🥖🥖🇫🇷💪👍🍻
The bookmakers had us down for 6th this year too.I can't see Widnes finishing higher than three teams we were below in 2023.
I'll say 9th at best judging by our squad.
Pretty stark reality looking at the squad numbers- if we finish 6th I'd be delighted.
Fear however a 10th/11th could happen- happy to be proven wrong.
The backs are exactly the same and couldn't score so not looking good.Pretty stark reality looking at the squad numbers- if we finish 6th I'd be delighted.

Well I think we have to wait and see, the pack is very swintonesque, can they give the backs the freedom they need ?
only time will tell
onwards and upwards

My expectations have actually gone down over the last few years. It was a few years back we had a decent squad on paper and that doesn't always guarantee success. I am expecting mid table and it will all depend on the quality loan and dual for the full season, which could define us. I will go and watch my team and enjoy my rugby, and just hope the coach gets the best out of them.
I believe the team has a more expectant coach who is hungry and wants to win, I think he will hold them accountable for their performances and hopefully gets the best out of the lads. Obviously having luck with injuries will play a role
Our squad on paper in previous seasons should have finished in the play-offs but didn't. I'm hoping that this year, the opposite is true. And Allan Coleman was pretty candid in saying that was his aim, which is fair enough.
I wouldn't expect there to be runaway leaders this year (like Fev and Toulouse have been previously) which will mean there's a lot more points swilling around the top eight or nine teams.
Really ? I expect Wakefield to walk it with both Featherstone and Toulouse easily second and third. The rest, also rans.

Fev struggled to name a 17 on Sunday, though did beat Bradford, just.

I do fancy Wakefield to win the league looking at there squad. Plus they are full time I presume? Featherstone squad not as strong and will be interesting who will make the top 6. I will wait until half way through the season to judge. 😂🥖🥖🇫🇷
How about a treble bet........Wigan, Wakefield and Oldham? Any chance of getting any odds.

Skybet has Wigan winning LLS, London finishing bottom and Wakey winning Champ at 3/1. Not great really.
