Not a lot of chat about the game, understandably given the malaise of recent matches.

On paper we can win. Barrow far poorer than last year.

As ever, we need to shut down Sammut. I also notice Keenan 'Love Island' Brand is in the Barrow Squad- inevitably a try for him?

Good luck to the team and travelling supporters, we would all be lifted with a performance and win!

I think we have all come to the realization that we are just making up the numbers and no decent coach will come without investment which is why we need to be looking at a total buyout. The local council will stand in the way of that as it would probably include stadium owners rights

The team don't seem to be able to shut a door never mind Sammut.

Can’t make it this week, which after the last couple of games is almost a relief. No particular grounds for thinking we will get any result other than a defeat, hopefully I’ll be wrong about that.

Couldn’t give a crunchie about them anymore. There’s more passion on this board than what our pack has shown for donkeys years. Sad times.

I just hope we put up a fight. Its a winnable game but judging by recent form and what seems like low morale I'm not sure.  We need a decent win to get us back going again.

As last week, I'm a Widnes fan tomorrow!

Sammut and Co are with us at the wrong end of the middle tier, and whilst you're at CP, we have the far from easy task of hosting the guys from the Mount.

The Pinks falling off the Wembley trail today at the other CP, is hopefully the first of a treble this weekend for yours truly, so come tomorrow it's..................

COME ON YOU CHEMICS AND LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spelly.

I just hope we win mate with a good display. We have been dreadful and it seems everyone around us is signing players. We don't have any money because every Widnes fan knows that 2 props/back rower and a bloody number 6 is required. Hate JJ at 13 and he should be interchange 9 with Fozzard. 🙈 Head says we lose and another terrible display as I feel the players don't care. Hope I am wrong and they fire themselves up for a win.

Team News:

Owens, Ince, Eckersley, Edge, Dixon, Lyons, Gilmore, Farnworth, Fozard, Lawton, Wilde, Grady, Johnstone.

Subs: Brown, Roberts, Hatton, Davies.

Reserve: Walker.

Isn't the definition of madness doing the same thing over again and expecting a different outcome?

Don’t understand that bench.

Unless one of the starting centres is carrying an injury, when realistically will Roberts get on?

Surely Walker is better use of a position

Me neither Viking 25

I would have thought Walker instead of Roberts, with Brown and Johnstone starting. A bench of Hatton, Fozzard, Davies and Walker. Or even, starting with Hatton or Walker alongside Farnsworth, bringing Lawton on at second row with Davies and the remaining prop rotating with the starting two. Fewer players out of their usual position.

Anyway, we'll see what happens.

Another cracking start, came from our own giving the ball away in their half.
