It’s not a headline signing but I hope he goes well, don’t see the point in wanting him to fail for us

Craigie - one of the most talented players to pull on a Widnes shirt but off field issues meant that he never fulfilled his potential. Shame.

Both Andrew Johns and Danny Buderus in their autobiographies describe Craigie as the most naturally gifted player they have ever seen. Shame he loved a pint, a burger and a bet so much.

😂 Brilliant player but lacked discipline and could have been world class. 🥖🥖

I'm not being pedantic, but he WAS world class. Sadly it was before he got to us. He was a starting centre or 6 for Newcastle Knights and he played in, and won, an NRL Grand Final.

@sinbad Just saying my opinion after watching him for 2 years. Your own fans are saying the same after watching him for Wales. He has actually put more weight on since he left Bradford

He was awful again tonight and will take years to lose that belly. Absolutely disgraceful and can't believe we signed this pudding.

Blowing through his ring after 5 minutes, what a signing. Must be carrying at least three stone of excess lard

I suppose one good thing about last night's game is that he played more minutes than in the first one...

It's very obvious to say he is overweight, of course he is.  Hopefully our S&C team can help him in this respect.  What I would say is, he is difficult to tackle, plays like a battering ram who makes metres post contact and always finds his front.

Biggest concern is Eribe Doro leaving who if asked could do 80 minutes in the front row replaced by Ant Walker who can do 10 mins stints max.

Suppose Hatton will be able to do 80 mins. Walker I hope behind Amor, Farnworth, Hatton and Josh Johnson. Definitely needs to lose a few stones Walker and then could be affective as a battering ram.

Looks like what we see is what we will get with Mr Walker. Not expecting any miracle work by Bob Beswick, to transform his fitness. JK has signed him knowing his body shape and fitness and picks him for Wales, with the same knowledge (not that he has a vast array of talent to choose from). We will just have to see if his game time can be managed to get something effective from him!

@wirralviking

Some may remember 'Big' Dave Taylor. He had a similar problem and, according to Darren Lockyer, everything that he ate turned to weight but in his case muscle! Wayne Bennett barred him from the gym for a whole pre-season but he was still bigger and could out-lift the rest of the Broncos pack! He faded away with an alcohol problem iirc.

Never seen anyone in such bad shape on a rugby field, including in the amateur game.

Agree absolutely disgraceful and if Kear picks Walker over Amor, Farnworth, Josh Johnson and Hatton I be very upset. Guy needs to lose the weight and is totally out of condition for a team who should be aiming for the top 6. I still think we can come between 4th and 6th if picks the fitter and best players.

What makes you think we will come 4th with the squad we have? This is a genuine question not a piss take one.

I said 4th to 6th but I am thinking 6th if predicted. I like to try and be optimistic being the horney Pascal with positivity. If we could get a Pinkies near by we may get Walker to lose some weight if on tap. 😂👍 Seriously I feel we may still get 1 or 2 loans especially in the back row which could make the difference. This year I feel our props stronger overall, as our top 4 are decent. Still hoping Walker will knuckle down once see the message board. 😂😂🥖🥖👌
