Yes, a York fan sitting by us stood up and shouted abuse at Walker about being "rotund" at Bradford, and being "rotund" at Widnes - 60 seconds later he went over for that try under the posts! He slouched in his seat tot he point of disappearance! Precious moments!!
It wasn't just the try. Ant made plenty of good carries and put in a good shift defensively. He didn't get any offloads away this time but he was always looking for them. The try though showed just what we have been missing for ages: a tank. I am sure Ant will soon be a favourite with fans. That Kear obviously believes in him must be a big motivator.
So pleased to see people now rating him by his rugby!
When he turned out for Wales in the RLWC he was much bigger, but his work rate was phenomenal! Even on matchday the fans were singing his name!
