Well we seem to go down this road far too often with unfit players. Levy was bad at Bradford and now Ant Walker. Why we take these risks and looking at his record of clubs it doesn't instill me with confidence. Hope I am proven wrong, but looks like eaten too many pies and Macdonalds.
Some of us will remember a little fat Aussie stand off who was magic !!!!!! Remember him doing cartwheels etc behind the sticks!!!!

Owen Craigie 😂 Joking a side I hope he knuckles down and is a good signing. I am just unsure.
- @pascal I agree it’s not a headline grabbing signing but I hope he’s in the mindset of he has a point to prove.
what’s going on with beswick is he with us next season
Beswick is in good shape and hopefully still here and gets Ant Walker fit. If talks goes through brick walls then we have something decent. Hopefully much better than he was at Bradford. But I won't hold my breath.
On that day (was it versus Bradford?) we had a couple of their supporters in front of us and one of them asked the other who the 'little fat feller' was. He scored two tries iirc and my mate said in a loud voice 'Little fat feller twelve, Bradford nil'!!!!!!!
Craigie - one of the most talented players to pull on a Widnes shirt but off field issues meant that he never fulfilled his potential. Shame.
Very true MT.
Looking at Ant Walker's assessment as a teenager with Saints was a note that he was 'very strong' so maybe appearances can be deceptive!
I can only assume that some of the posters on this topic were some of last seasons many missing fans.
I forget how many times opposition big and burly forwards fought their way through our mobile but much smaller pack. We are playing in the championship and that’s the way most teams use their forwards.
I believe that JK knows what he’s doing.

Yes it was against Bradford, and did a flip over calling him the flying pig. 😂 Brilliant player but lacked discipline and could have been world class. Hoping Ant Walker becomes a top signing for us. 🥖🥖
Remember Some Bradford fans saying when we signed Ah Van he was the worst winger they had ever seen, turned out pretty well for us. Remember him scoring a hattrick against them in the middle 8’s.
Walker starts with a clean slate so hopefully he can get himself in shape and prove himself.

More recently I was pretty vocal about how Levy would be a poor signing for Widnes. It's the same with Ant Walker. After 10 minutes he is knackered.
@sandgroper That makes me recall a SL game away at Wakefield when Steve Mc Currie was playing for us the second time around. A Wakefield guy said "Look at Mc Currie he is a tub of lard". Later in the game Steve scored under the posts so I shouted so he could hear " Well done the tub of lard!" to howls of laughter from all around us.

Seems you can't wait to see the lad fail at Widnes just so you can come on here and say told you so.
I seem to recall a fat player from Bradford named Brian hogan ?
I thought he did rather well
onwards and upwards
