So the least kept secret since bradfraud were going up to super league is out

the final is at the dire on bank holiday Monday at 3

I think that is a good move as we should hopefully take 5000 there, along with Londons 2 coaches and neutrals, May get a crowd of 8-10 K

which will give a better atmosphere than when we played Sheffield at wembley

Ticket price at £20 is good

I hope I’m wrong, but can’t see us getting 10,000 there. There will only be a 100 from London and about 100 neutrals, think there will only be about 5,000 there.

London have released details of a Shuttle Bus to the final, inc match ticket, priced at £65....

If they haven't got 30 bookings by 27th August, they are going to cancel the coach.

Top of the league and going into Super League, but struggling to fill a coach that would be shocking. They expect to win the final and i am sure if Widnes had a full time team top of the league we would fill a few coaches to London.

Will this final be the last?

Moved from Wembley, because it was played out in front of a nearly empty stadium, and now.........

It's to be staged at an SL venue, with at best 5,000 speccies there.

The 1895 Cup has gone pretty much under the radar since it's inception, and I personally reckon it'll not be on the fixture list next term.

@spelly

you would have loved to be in the final ?
it is a second rate cup competition that allows lower clubs to have a chance of winning a cup

but there are no bonus points in the scam  gradings scheme

again I ask how can London get a better rating than Huddersfield - they put their crowds out, sadly about 4500 - London never do

difficult counting the dogs and the rats I suppose

@spelly I think it will be, they just need to include in the fixture list and have the venue sorted at the start of the season. Its really the Northern Rail Cup with a new sponsor, should be the AB Sundecks Cup and carry on with the same list of winners as the NRC.

With no Summer Bash they need something for the Championship as a showcase especially as the GF is no big deal at the top teams home ground with no promotion for the winner.

Although after this years dogs breakfast from the RFL ref the Championship fixtures, sadly nothing would surprise me.

absolutely spot on

we all know what will happen at the  end of the season London jokers will be promoted to SL with their massive following

We need to enjoy watching our team and sit back

onwards and upwards

1) Course I would, but............

2) It's (at best) second rate! It was a disaster at Wembley, playing it after the "main" game, and this term, we've only just learned of the venue! Sooooooooooooooooooooo unprofessional!

The comp doesn't even has a sponsor, reflecting how second rate it is!

And it now means we'll have to re-schedule our trip to the Smoke, as we were due there on the same weekend as when they'll be locking horns with you.

I say again, that in my opinion there'll be no 1895 Cup next season, and beyond.

Spelly.

1) Absolutely! I've not heard one fan who's in favour of what's been shoved at us by the RFL! We play neither the 'Yeds nor you, both of whom would've brought a decent following, putting a few bob in the till!

Said it before, but the Championship as a whole, is a millstone around the RFL's neck!

This is the 'BIG' question. How are London going to achieve SL in 2027?

Is it on IMG gradings, or is it via promotion by winning the GF, or are SL going to 15 teams?

Let's say Bradford finish bottom (I don't think they will), they already know they are in SL next year, as they play Leigh in Las Vegas.

So, what is it going to be?

Paulie xx

Never mind the 1895 competition. On a wider issue, the Championship teams need to break away from the Super League circus as soon as possible, otherwise it is doomed to failure and complicit in its own demise.

I know of no other sport that is actively watering down the support for its Premier competition by including teams who literally have no fans.  How many hundreds of thousands of £'s are leaking out of the sport in that way over a season for example?

Add in the huge cost of having up to ten overseas players (and coaches) and the costs of hiring big football  stadiums in a failed attempt to try and hoodwink people into believing that RL really is the biggest thing in town?

How many other sports follow that mantra?

Can somebody please tell me I am wrong?!!!!
