Been lying to the electorate all along. Been lying to Parliament all along.

I can't believe there are people so naive as to believe anything that comes from this cohort of condescending, elitist thieves.

Fiddling while Rome burns but still not too busy to keep stealing the cream.

They'll never resign, snouts stuck in the trough safe in the knowledge that idiots will keep backing them.

Makes me sick.

He has precious little credibility left, so what remains, he should utilise to fall on his sword, taking the Chancellor with him, and disappear for ever from public view!

Boris Johnson gets fined, yet Kier Starmer gets off scot free... 🤔🥴

The media in this country have had the knives out for Boris since Day 1.

They didn't want him leading the country and they also didn't want Brexit either

This is the biggest stitch up in this history of stitch ups.

As for him falling on his sword...

Would that not play into Putin's hands ??? 🤔

The situation in Ukraine hasn't magically gone away,

to change leaders now would be an extremely dangerous move.

I agree that compared to what's happening in Ukraine, this is miniscule, but......................

The fact remains that the PM of this United Kingdom has broken the law, as too has the Chancellor, whose reported personal ambitions to be the next leader of the Tory party have taken a huge hit over the last few days, due to the (trying to be diplomatic here) "tax scenario" of his good lady, so............

I repeat, Boris, and Rishi should walk, and walk now!

Would a change of leader here, alter what further despotic plans Putin has? I suggest it would not.

I'm not (by far) Starmer's biggest fan, as I've mentioned on here more than once, but wasn't he cleared on his alleged lockdown violation?

What is he actually doing that is so critical with regards to the Ukraine war? Signing the order to send more arms over? Giving tough soundbites to Daily Mail journalists?

We changed PM 3 times in the 2nd World War and we were actually fighting and under attack in that one, not signing bits of paper. Stop believing what they say, they're lying.

It would be nice if their back-benchers grew a set and ousted him, particularly as there are more fines incoming. Then hopefully the Gray report will land which will point the finger square at his actions again. This isn't going away, much as he'd like it to.

The Tories 12 year record is appalling. It started with austerity, homelessness and food-banks and has now moved more to corruption, sleaze and entitlement. They need booting.

Today, the first minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon was forced to apologise for being caught on camera not wearing her face mask in a public place (prior to the end of the face mask mandate in Scotland).

And yet, the police, once again, won't take further action 🤦

So...that's Kier Starmer, Nicola Sturgeon and Mark Drakeford all bang to rights ...yet nothing.

With the media in the UK as it is, The left are indestructible.

They could literally get away with murder (as they did in Afghanistan) and no one would care.

Do you get it, yet???

In a word - NO!

Forgetting to put on a mask? i remember being in Morrison's when masks were needed, and I genuinely forgot to put mine on, only remembering when I got to the checkout.

I apologised, with the lady on the till saying summat like "You're not the first."

What I did was accidental, but was what the PM. and Chancellor of this country of ours did, an accident?  I would strongly suggest it wasn't!

Nick Hancock (eventually) realised his position was untenable, and stepped aside. I wonder what he's thinking now, as his two former cabinet colleagues are still in situ?

Widnes Latic - I don't know if you saw the (soon to be ex?) PM the chamber today, as.....

Perhaps you were working, but.....

If you didn't catch it live, I'm sure there'll be constant re-runs on him squirming, as his law breaking was exposed time and again, by MPs of left, right, and centre.

Do you still think he deserves to be still the leader of this United Kingdom of ours?

I say yet again, he should use what miniscule of credibility he has remaining, and resign!

My regret is when we go the polling booth next month, the votes cast will only of a local variety, coz had it been a general election, the British public would've been able to show Johnson the exit door!

I proudly remain left of centre!

Cheered on by his sycophantic cronies, they have no shame.

Pointless vote on Thursday now where more Authoritarianism will be evident.

We should have brought proportional representation in when we had the chance, stop all this megalomania.

Disgusting yet unsurprising story in the Mail at the weekend. What a rag that is.

"A socialist grandmother who left school at 16 while pregnant and with no qualifications before becoming a care worker", "can't compete with Boris's Oxford Union debating training".

Can't we do better that this in 2022? We're going backwards under this Victorian-minded lot.

Tory watch - our Chancellor says it would be "silly" to help people out with their rising bills. That's people who had a 54% energy hike this month, prices rising at their highest rate for 30 years, record numbers of people WHO WORK using food banks, pensioners unable to afford to put on the heating etc.

Offset against the opinion of a BILLIONAIRE. These Tories have NO IDEA how ordinary people live. NONE.

Honest to God, who votes for these charlatans?

Partygate, and now watching porn in the Chamber, so.............

What's next for the blue side of British politics?

As I mentioned earlier, it's just a pity that Thursday's elections are only for councillors, and not for their Westminster counterparts, but..................

I just hope we can still give this apology of a PM, a serious bloody nose, and send him yet another message that his days in Downing Street are well and truly numbered!

@spelly I'm less hopeful than you perhaps that Johnson will get that bloodied nose. As you'll know, one of the austerity measures implemented by the Tories was to significantly cut the Local Authority central grant payments. This has meant that some councils are now seeing 60% (av.) less money from Govt. than they did pre-2010 and are still being asked to find savings of tens of millions year on year, despite the clamour for services rising out of sight. This has turned out to be one of their smarter moves as it has tended to ensure that people turn on their local council rather than the actual culprits of the cuts. And, in true Tory fashion, it has tended to be the most deprived of councils that have suffered the most.

Following the Local Authorities in the NW, as I do as part of my job, the vitriol aimed at these predominantly Labour-run councils runs very high. So no, I'm not that confident that despite Johnson's amazingly bad record, the Tories will suffer significant losses this week. Fingers crossed of course.

See him on GMTV this morning? It was the most staggeringly inept and cold interview I've ever seen from an MP in this country, let alone a PM. He doesn't give a crunchie, this is all a narcissistic game for him.

Will he survive tonight's vote?

Jacob Rees-Mogg has just been on the Beeb, saying "A majority of one is enough." Is he right? I seriously suggest that he is not!

But, whatever the outcome is, Partygate will forever will be a millstone round his neck, and in my opinion the chances of him leading the Tories into the next general, are slimmer than slim!
