..... I don't know the answer, so I'll throw it open to you!
On the way to the game today, on the M40, we overtook a police escorted load.
It was a full two lanes wide, and about forty feet long. It was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!
It was OK-ish on the motorway, but I said to my mate "What happens to summat like that when it hits the normal roads, to get to its destination?"
Any ideas please, coz we were genuinely confused?

A route will have been sorted out before the journey commenced between the police and the various county highways depts - one which would allow the load to travel safely.
