Excellent result and important to win against a team who will may well be competing for Play-Offs against us.
Makes a difference being able to call upon the type of bench we have available today, compared to the previous seasons!
We certainly suffered by Lawton going off after a few minutes. Let's hope he - and Farnworth - are fit enough for next week.

From the radio commentary we made some silly boobs too, all part of getting up to speed and playing in real match conditions. Those should be ironed out this week and as the on-pitch communication improves we have players who can respond well to situations.
Was at the game and agree with most of the above, but would also add that I thought Widnes looked fitter and more energised than York despite losing Lawton.
Also, Widnes learnt as the game went on, which York didn't. They kept targeting Dixon with the high ball despite him fielding them superbly.
