ObservationsI have made this season Looking towards next season. Fozard has been one of our best players if he leaves to London as rumoured Johnstone is not the answer. Was very disappointing when he did play & Cas now signed another player to replace him. A very concerning position now as is standoff.
Lyons is not good enough at 6. Keep him as cover but not first choice imo.
Unless he is injured I do not understand why Walker is not an automatic choice in the 17. We usually win when he plays & lose when he is missing.
We need 6 good props & 2 fast strong centres if we want to get in the top 6 next season.
On way back on my 300 mile trip to watch, and I wonder why I bother, I am an old git but could probably make better attempts at tackles than the lads did in the second half - they were a shambles
Gilmore had his worst game in a long time - poor kicking and some seriously crap passes

Absolutely threw the towel in. Disgraceful period there when York racked up the points. Must have been an old Denis Betts halftime team talk!!!
Scoring towards the late stages of the game flattered us as the second half was woeful.
Like others stated I wonder if that performance will turn off even more fans - anyone hear the attendance I’d already left by then?!?! I’m starting to think I should save my £60 or so match day spends (me and my son) for other things… 🤔
Absolutely pathetic that second half! 28 points in 14 minutes we conceded. Our players need to learn the basics of RL like how to catch the ball 😡
@viking78 what they need to learn is ball retention, line speed in defence and attack from deeper giving our players more momentum in

Good first half. Woefully dire defence second. At least it wasn't a boring game.
Summed up for me where we are, genuinely mid table mediocre. Until the recruitment is right that won't change.
We could turn up and put in a performance at Fax, but I could equally see us get hammered.
We had a chance today, the attendance was better, we could have been in the top 6 and we bottled it. Mentality not there in my opinion and I don't think people feel as invested in the club as previously.
Big clear out needed as we all know, these players need to realize they are not guaranteed a contract next season

@alanc fair point, still they’re playing for a contract somewhere if not widnes and don’t seem to be able to play for 80 minutes.
PT is very different than FT as players have work commitments also. We won’t be considered for super league until we are FT or at least a hybrid squad.
It just seems some players know they are leaving and don't give a crunchie. 2 steps forward then another back. It is so disappointing and hopefully next year get some big forwards.
