That's it I think.
Where the fudge was Jack then???
Game over
Not good enough, but certainly an improvement, although that wasn’t too difficult...
Looked better with Smith at 13. Lack of a bench done for us in that second half. They brought Cuthbertson on and we brought a young kid on.
Dont like blaming the referee, but we had a perfectly good try disallowed and the decisive try from them come from an incorrect play the ball.
Obvious statement but next week is a must, just win. Massive pressure on them all
Only one team in it in the second half.
Really poor second half again, what was it: 27-0?
Shame, first half was good.
Overall still not good enough.
I think Rugbyleague should be a game of 1 half lasting no more than 40 mins.
If we play like that next week we will beat Whitehaven
Not really too bothered about the play-the-ball - it doesn't lead to tries.
That disallowed was a very poor decision by the ref.
Much better performance overall however it's looking challenging to see where the next win will come from.
better effort, another scoreless 2ndhalf with to many same old errors, moved fwd slightly, no chance of play offs, maybe 10th
If we play like that next week we will beat Whitehaven
Not too sure about that to be honest.
hewer was very 1 sided i thought but didnt change the result
Correct me if wrong but is that our fourth scoreless second half of the season so far?
I can only put that down to one of two things. 1 - the players give up or 2 - the coach isn’t adapting at half time, and to be fair today I have to say the latter! I do think our lads gave all they had, but at half time their coach made strategic changes to work at our weaknesses and we just didn’t.
Curious that we didn’t use two of our subs, I think, but then I don’t think we had subs to cover the players we needed to sub - like Smith!
The weak bench meant our forwards were knackered in the second half and we couldn’t get decent field position. Big improvement in the effort before fatigue kicked in and some good goal line defence. I think we should be able to beat Whitehaven but I’d be a lot more confident of that if we had Clough and Farnworth back in the 17.
Not really too bothered about the play-the-ball – it doesn’t lead to tries.
An incorrect play the ball can lead to a try if not penalised.
True, but that's true of everything. The play the ball was simply too fast for us anyway - for my money the fact that a foot has pretended to touch the ball is neither one thing nor the other. They were far faster than we were.
