On the podcast Coleman hinted he'd give Joe another week to recover, although that was recorded just sfter the Leeds game I think.
I expect Gilmore to play & unfortunately Gregson because it seems in the coaches eyes he is undroppable.

Jack houghton should get a game these are the games you can use the squad a little bit or no point having it
I agree on giving Houghton a run, Worky are a league 1 side and had 98 put on them by Saints. Also a good game to re-introduce Gilmore.
I've said before a ball was kicked McWhirter should be our loose forward. With Abdull now in the side, we just dont need a ball playing loose foward, a bigger more powerful athletic style loose is the way to go.
For creativity we have Abdull, Gilmore, JJ, Fozzard and Owens. Hopefully with his MOM performance against Leeds he will retain his place as its the right thing for the balance of the team. That also means we need a 4th frontline prop, so its important to test Houghton out at Champ level and give him gametime. Again Bent is a great guy and real 100% player, but hes a back rower not a prop all day long and twice on a Sunday!
I see Taylor has joned Rochdale on a 1 month loan. With Sambou, Edge, Owens and Flemming it makes perfect sense to get him some game time alongside the 2 lads at Salford.
These are the tests for the coach if gregson comes straight back in for mcwhirter Coleman will upset 80% of the fans

agree but we have now 3 at salfraud and 1 at Rochdale who both play in our league
but we need to give Houghton game time, or is he off next ?
to my mind I would rather keep Houghton over both bent and gregson, but we all know AC will not do that
