Thought that the Superleague teams didn't come into it until the round after the next one?

Credit where credit is due, well done one and all.

Decent performance from the whole team. Rode our luck at times when Bradford were in possession but we were unlucky having two in the bin.

Let's hope theres more performances like this to come.

@martin Super League teams only come in at round six. We will play either an amateur,  League 1 or Championship side next. Hopefully at home.

Swinton at home would be perfect.

They have to get past Oldham first, which will be an interesting match.

Ourselves, Batley, Wakefield, York Acorn and Halifax through. With Featherstone well clear at half time. Sheffield v York is a close game.

Really gratifying performance. That team would be my starting team after this. Were we better off for not having  Dixon? Love the guy but he is inevitably vulnerable to the contested high ball. Ince was just outstanding. And Murray really caught the eye. Bradford were quite poor and unfortunate to lose Doro early so let's not get carried away. But the way we coped after the two harsh yellow cards gives real cause for hope.

That pitch is a disgrace and to win on it against a side bought to suit it was pure magic.

Whoever decided the tactics was spot on and, as ever, Gilly was pretty well immaculate!!

Well worth the early start, Odsal seems to get worse everytime we go. Defence was brilliant today and Gilmore excelled behind a pack that never took a step back.

If we get that level of effort and performance this season, there can be no complaints. Murray was impressive and I even thought Thaler had a good game.

Bent Haler doing his best to give Brat’fud the advantage. Was never a sin bin for Roby!

What offence was he actually binned for? Yes he tackled him in the air, but I saw nothing more.

He basically lifted him above the horizontal and he went to ground slightly head first. I thought it was one of them where the defender made sure they were in a position a penalty would be given.

MOM award has been given to the whole squad who played today, can't argue with that.

Yes hard to choose a MoM, maybe Gilmore just edged it. Thought the whole team played really well today, and we played 20 minutes with 12 men and didn’t let a try in.

MYbe we were saving ourselves for when the proper games started.  And looking at the way Swinton beat Oldham today, maybe they’re better than we thought.

It was also funny to see the Bradford fans all doing the Wigan Walk with 5 minutes to go😁

Pity there weren’t many Widnes fans there to support them, about 50-60.

Hopefully we will get a good crowd in a fortnight for Batley.

Joey Lyons was outstanding and has earned the right for the Forum Mafia to get off his back. His defence was second to none, don't recall him missing one all day. He was mainly dealing with Bulls best player, the no.4 Gill, who is a big unit. and took his try brilliantly form the Gilmore kick.

He's not going away, so either back him, or leave him be.

Paulie xx
