Surely at the end of this game the inevitable will happen?

Position untenable. If the club have locked themselves into a pay off agreement in the contract then more fool them.

I feel if we don’t make the changes needed we’ll be in a relegation battle, I understand we have a lot of injuries but looking at the score line today it’s clearly obvious that the coach is out of his depth

I wonder if the board have been in contact with a potential replacement

Definitely out of his depth we need to act as scoring 10 points says lack of creativity at home too. Need a halfback coach and that score is embarrassing 😢

@pascal if smith needs coaching then god bless. It’s evident that they aren’t playing for finnegan and what’s needed is clear for everyone to see. I believe it’s been on the cards and finnegan knows it.

Maybe the club cannot afford to pay him off.

In which case they would have beeen foolish and naive to lock themselves into that position. the club should have hired someone on a results based contract, especially a rookie without experience

Sinny has a great point there.. but also how unprofessional of our board of directors to not have a plan B in place for the removal of a head coach.. contingency money? Out of there depth.. embarrassing.

'Send it all my way' - he continually says in his underwhelming post-match interview.  So he's basically saying he's not good enough because the 2 team sheets yesterday were not 30 points apart.

The players absolutely do not escape criticism, as they lacked intent yesterday.  Intent into contact, intent in their desire to push, have line speed and energy taking the ball in.  Their core skill was also way off.

A lot of these players have a lot to prove and if indeed we have 10-11 players out injured, then the players out there should be stating their case to play once those players are back, they certainly didn't do that yesterday.

Like many others that have posted - yesterday was the earliest I've left a game in over 30 years of watching this club.  The club is showing no ambition, has no team to be proud of, and isn't rewarding fan loyalty.  We should be approaching local businesses to get involved in this club, because they are there.  I hold zero hope of this happening whilst Phil Finney is CEO.

Ahhh Mr Finney, the apparent saviour of the club! I still cant believe its not common knowledge that he was interviewed for a similar job at the Bulls around the same time we went bust, he didn't get the job so he stayed to 'steer the ship' through the murky waters of administration.

Some of us were moaned at for complaining about the appointment of Finnigan at the time he was announced. People were saying give him a chance, but we don't have the time as the longer we lack a winning, or even a competing team, the more we will lose fans and we may never get those fans back thus making even more difficult to get the right players in.

We needed, and still do, an experienced coach to actually coach the players to bring out their full potential, or someone who can bring us something different, a real leader who can not just rally the team but the town as a whole.

Just need to check my posts about our CEO, I’m not a fan, wants his own people in and wants to be in control of it. The head coach needs experienced staff not mates of the CEO.

The coach doesn’t need to be a name just someone who knows his stuff and is passionate enough to win the town over, like when Wigan give Shaun Wane his chance, now Matty Peet
