I read somewhere that Gil Dudson is now looking PT rugby and we are interested.I hope not, nothing against him but surely we have learnt our lesson in signing props in their 30's wanting to ease into retirement.
Oh, and I doubt we'll be looking for a quality replacement for Craven, Joe Lyons has a new 2 year deal, looks like we'll be looking for back up for Joe!
Roll on 2024, COYV!
I would suggest a pay as you play deal.
WE are wide open to giving a contract and him being out injured or suspended for weeks.
Personally I’d take him if the contract is the right one. He’s got the size and aggression we have been lacking in recent seasons. We are currently a mid championship club.
Absolutely not, penalty machine, used us as his rehab before going to Salford, cats, dire
eff off
Who do you suggest instead?
It’s a yes from me. We have hardly any forward signed up for next year.
I suspect that we can't be so 'picky'.
As far as Dudson is concerned if he is looking for a PT contract it will be down to where he lives and where he is going to work .
The club is between a rock and a hard place regarding players and we all have different ideas about who we would like! Time to wake up and either find some cash somewhere or accept that we are mid table at best.
WVIP's is about our best bet imo small donations amongst a relatively large group. There are just over a hundred of us atm and iirc we raise about £20k a year, after raffles etc. The anonymous 'they' who have loads of cash don't exist, it really is down to the supporters.
So if your not in it yet get moving!!!!
.
An apt topic title
The big worry with The Dud is that if he does go PT, he will put on weight, and his game minutes will drop off. He doesn't do big minutes as it is, so goodness knows what we'd be getting. He could be potentially the Amor of 2024.
