Although on the face of it it’s a lot of cash upfront. It’s probably how much the board have put in themselves for the shares they own. £1k per week is the equivalent of an extra 200 people through the gates in a season. (£50k over say 13 games). That’s not game changing, maybe it’s not worth the disruption. All the noise is about improving the playing squad but we’re already at the cap, maybe he should change his tact and propose what this money could do off the field to improve the club?
@spideylizard spider that money would take us over the £1 million threshold meaning we could spend another 100k on salary cap or help to fund img improvements
if King Charles can put up with trump for days I'm sure our board can deal with Andy for a hour a week for 15 percent of our turnover lol

and the boards job is to do the best for the club I can't see how turning such investment from a actual fan is in the best interests of the club ?
year after year we sit on this board and moan about stagnation and buying swinton players etc that only changes if we change and people who brought ideas ( business club , Tim's match day , kev bucks fundraising) have been allowed to leave so how any of this is in the clubs best interests I have no idea

it would be more than a hour a week though wouldn’t it? And Andy admitted at the last fans meeting, that as a boss he was used to getting his own way, and didn’t like it when other people on the board wouldn’t do what he wanted.
He did say he realized if he came back on the board he would have to go with the majority of the board and he wa willing to do that.
But what would happen if he disagreed with something passionately and got annoyed and left again? Would we have to give him all his money back again, like last time, or could we put a clause in his acceptance on to the board, that if he left again, he wouldn’t be able to get the money he had put in, back?
@farnworth-viking I agree but those things are things that could be put into a agreement and dealt with as business people, we all work with or do business with people we wouldn't normally have as friends they all Andy included need to put the club first

Decent interview, but needed pushing more. How are we going to increase crowds. How are we going to increase commercial revenue? All well and good saying we’re going to, but the how is more important.
Sheffield situation is a farce. We shouldn’t be in the position, but we are, so we need to make the best of it. I don’t know what the club’s ideal solution is. Seem to want 4 days between games but have turned down the only opportunity in the calendar where 4 day turnaround is possible.
Doubling the commercial revenue over the next 18 months is the big one for me. Bold statement and fair play, we need numbers now and then updates every 6 months so we can see if it happens. No sensitive info needed, just an overall figure as of the 2026 season as a starting point.
@cumbria-viking Stuart didn't have the exact numbers during the interview, however since I have been informed 18 players are signed up and sealed for next year. So going off the squad number of 24 there are 6 squad places left.
