Langtree IMO was our best forward when he played last season. Well worth the risk as he will heavily influence the games in which he plays.

I am not so sure about Gregson though.  When he did play he did not unduly impress & usually retired injured.

Really good news about langtree and the feedback on his operation- hopefully he will play a lot more next season, this gives a good second row partnership with Lloyd, roberts, lannon and bent

probably need another prop or 2 though

Brett Bailey now confirmed as having signed from Saints on a 1 year deal for 2025. That is probably the lot for props now. I would have liked a big Samoan or similar south seas prop but guess we have enough cover now but worry a bit about the depth of quality in that position. Same goes for centre & half back if we are to challenge for the top 4 to 6.

With the signings probably complete now I reckon our starting 17 at season start will be as follows.

1 Brown

2 Butt

3 Edge

4 Owens

5 Edge

6 Patton

7 Gilmore

8 Murray

9 Johnstone

10 Bennion

11 Lloyd

12 Langtree

13 Lannon

Bench

14 Reilly

15 Fozard

16 Kirk

17 Hall

Personally I would start with Fozard but that does not seem to happen much. Any comments on my selection?

Wait until the pre-season training is done - we've had a couple of bad injuries in training before!!!!

I really rate edge, but bit of an ask to play 2 positions at once - assume you mean ince, also no fleming ?

@berkeleyviking Yes I meant Ince.   A senior moment. I think Jack needs to be in the team for his overall contribution especially his quick flick  & cut out passes. I also think he gives a bit more all round than Fleming does. I am sure Fleming will get some  game time as injuries take their toll.

I also expect at least one of the younger forwards to break into the squad as the season progresses but not at the start.
