@pauliewalnuts Think they played four games in the last week. We should have played them on the Thursday night but the league swopped the Tuesday and Thursday fixtures "to be fair to Wigan" meaning we were their second game that week instead of the third. Wigan turned us over before nearly 30,000 spectators and if my memory is correct, beat Bradford at home after a scare on the Thursday before winning the league at Leeds on the Saturday.

Some ppl on here obviously have never played the game, If you cannot see the diff between playing full time team after a fixture congestion and they are allowed to rest. It's Lambs to the slaughter on equal terms.

They drew 18-18 with Bradford, and if we had won at CP we would have won the league. Davies scored a belter under the sticks to put us 6-0 up, but then Wigan clicked into gear and won easy.

Remember it well. The re-arranged mid week fixtures were set in the diary  at the RFL but were swapped at the last minute to give both Wigan and Widnes similar rest after the weekend.Unheard of.Bradford almost threw a spanner in the works by getting a draw but it wasn't enough.A shame we couldn't win at Cental Park.

Thinking about the core problem here is not when Widnes have to play a full time team but why? They should not be playing a full time team at all.......

Why did the RFL relegate London last year knowing what thier future plans were ?

They wanted to put the three up...Ok just leave London in knowing the set up they had planned.

They have ruined the Championship and the 1895 cups for 2027 as all the rest were only ever playing for second behind the full time London set up...............

The Championship should be all part time....spending should be capped at a level that full time teams are not there.

The RFL are to balme for the sad state of the game below SL.
