@owl it's not how many you get in...it's how much they spend

@owl I think that the present team on the field, with 10 wins from 13, and in the Semi of the 1895 cup (and not forgetting, giving Leeds a scare in the CC), we are pretty much a top (Championship) team on the pitch for once.

Though I don't expect it in 2027.

@scouseviking55 They own their own ground, and they don't chase you off the premises post-game. Basically, they generate more turnover. @Cumbriaviking will confirm this.

That's the context, does anyone know the figures?

What's our revenue? When was it last published? So we can see what our salary cap will be next year.

And what's our current wage bill? So we can see how much we (probably) have to trim.

@pauliewalnuts even with that highly doubt they’re turning over 1m mate. Not a cat in hells chance

@gpo1971 I thought from the q&a SM said based on our turnover we’d be in the second bracket of 400k and directors would top up the rest to spend the cap

maybe used too strong a term there I just can’t fathom they are there. Publicly abridged accounts don’t show official turnover just assets and cash in bank

Didnt someone from the RL say that if a team already had a player on a contract for next season on a high wage, that you could go over the £500,00?

I don’t think we will make the I mill turnover

reality is £450K players fees - which I would doubt many in the league can match that

but of course with smoke and mirrors others will

@pauliewalnuts yep correct mate .haven't been since game with us ..matchday marquee generally stays open at least 5hrs after the game and is normally pretty rammed....they utilise that facility to the hilt and it's a popular party venue and booked all year round ...crowds generally just under or just over 2000..not much less than us ...they run numerous events through the year and many  are big earners...like the upcoming world cup they turn it into a massive beer garden and most head there weather permitting.....and yep they turnover a 1m a year ...what I will say is they could theoretically run a 500k budget by the new rules but almost certainly won't go anywhere near that ...if I read correctly there player budget this season is the best part of 200k less than ours ...with nothing to play for it'd be a pointless exercise whacking up your budget ...I think someone said players that were already contracted for 2027 will be exempt from the cap ...but on the flip side all player costs come from the budget ....e.g agents fees ....

Thanks CV for the info. There won't be much budget spent on the stadium, either. Mabe a lick of paint on the crash barriers. It's basic, but it's theirs.

@pauliewalnuts pretty much ...they have a maintenance team that are volunteers...pretty sure that includes the groundsman aswel ...they actually put something out on social media gauging fans thoughts on running a smaller budget so money could be used to strengthen other areas in the club ..probably didn't go down well but there fans like everyone else's know there's theoreticaly nothing to play for bar bragging rights....think the vast majority will be running considerably less budgets ... It'll just come down to whose smarter with the contract offers

@pauliewalnuts and we spend ??? 100k a year for ours there's the difference they make money on match days and we try to cover costs it's a huge difference

so when people try to invest I'd be snatching hand off lol
