I've had a look through the news section, and the below is the status I can find in terms of contract length of the current squad.
Contract ends in 2026; Matt Flemming, Jack Owens, Mike Butt, Tom Gilmore, Max Roberts, Frank Sergent, Declan Connolly and Jack Houghton.
Adam Lawton says 2026 with "certain triggers" for 2027
Contracted until 2027; Joe Lyons, Dan Murray, Liam Bent, Sam Wilde, Nick Gregson, Lewis Hall, Danny Langtree, Morgan McWhirter, Jay Chapelhow, Kieran Taylor.
Contracted until 2028; Joe Edge, Ryan Ince, Jordan Johnstone, Matty Fozzard, Nathan Connell.
Personally gutted Gregson and Lyons have another year contract. I am not bothered if Matt Flemming or Jack Owens signs but Tom Giilmore and Max Roberts i would resign. It seems obvious Butt is leaving even though i love him to stay. Lawton is staying next year on that list.

2028..........4 of the 5 are absolutley players who need to stay....Ince? could go tomorrow for me.

2026....some are well documented as either for or against in other threads and the rest ? not played enough so not bothered if they all went inc. Lawton.

Are we to assume Owens is leaving? And who else?
Shame for me I think we are a better team and much more organised with Jack in the side
What do we think is happening with Lawton? a must keep in my eyes on his day a real issue for the opposition as shown

I think if there's a better quality player out their available then I can only see Connolly and Houghton leaving ... I'd put Matt Fleming in their ..I don't think his contract will be cheap and the return this year has been pants.. permanently injured ... uncertainty around owens...can't say I'd be bothered either way staying or going . Again comes down to is their a better player available....Lawton for me has to stay ...when he's firing theirs not a player like him in the league ....I know Lyons is contracted but I don't know why but feel their may be a mutual consent release their .. surely to god he's not happy being the spare part the vast majority of the time and he won't start ahead of Gilly and Hansen ...has been rumours of an unexpected departure but who that could be is anyone's guess ..may well be Owens but I get the feeling theirs a bombshell the horizon....time will tell

Definitely need another centre who is robust and a decent player as can not rely on Edge being fit.
Speaking with someone high up at the Club yesterday, I was told those being released will be announced on Monday (I wasn't given any names), so as they can be thanked at the End Of Season Awards, on Tuesday, and it gives us Fans the chance to give them a send off at our last, home play-off game.

I am probably one of the few who does not care he is going to be honest. Great servant and wish him the best of luck, but he is in his 30s now and not the fastest player. We need a younger stronger centre who has a step and speed. One from Australia 👌
