Maybe a punt on Ben Cross,Currently Head Coach of the Ipswich Jets in the Queensland Cup and has previous coaching experience with the Brisbane Broncos.
remember him spewing up on the pitch during a gameI think we need to learn from previous experience, last decent coach was sheens but he walked when he realized our finances
justin Murphy, If he wanted the position he could well be a great fit for widnes and has a brief history with us
@jeffjonno I hear the surf is good in west bank. Would be nice he is well respected over there. Might be joining St George staff
I think getting a coach from Australia or New Zealand might be too much of a stretch with our finances but from the French elite league is a good possibility
we need someone who instills confidence and has a modern tactical mindset as that’s where I think Kear struggled
what in pinkies ?@mick-george yep on the touch line. Did he score later on

Need my MOJO back the rugby has lost my passionate side. 😂👍
Problem is though, with our track record over the past six years, who would want to come to us - the club who has had more coaches than Selwyns? No coach would leave a club to go to another with a life expectancy of one year, unless his days were already numbered!
worst thing is that any money in the pot from players who left might end up going to entice a new coaching team, as opposed to players for the end of the season.
Apparently they still have a large pot of money in the old viqi account
I would welcome a new coaching staff who knows what they’re doing
So, to sum up this thread.
Nobody has a fudging clue.
Why don’t we give Dave Hulme a second chance. “He’ll get the lazy buggers fired up.”
@winny-ingram of course we can only speculate as we don’t know who the club have approached and vice versa
I’d be surprised if the club hasn’t already got a short list
There was certainly something on the move before the game tbh - no recognition of Wally Hurstfield and Gaydon (unless I missed it?) seemed an odd omission
Our ball boys haven't been functioning as efficiently - sounds a bit silly but it was another noticeable change.
Can't see anyone swapping Aus to come to a country in the state that UK is at the moment!!
I’m not sure if people know this but I was told from a reliable source that he was the second best paid in our division after Featherstone. So it might be worth an Aussie coming over
Not surprised, JK has a lot of irons in the fire!!
Hamilton was a large part of Oldham RLFC until his illness a couple of years ago forced a change there. He may have become part of our Board with special responsibilities I suppose, almost like a CEO.
Maybe the vibrations were starting before Phil Finney left?
