On the positive side we didn't have to compete with Bradford for his signature.  Best of look John.

I’m coming round to him being our coach, mainly because I don’t think he’ll accept the dreadful attitude the players have been showing recently.

What I do disagree with is him not starting immediately. That’ll be 7 games played without a coach, that is farcical. Just letting the season pass us by.

I believe he has international duties, hopefully he will bring in some players from having those connections. The current squad well half of em should be gone at the end of the season

Good appointment in my opinion.

He has a track record of improving average outfits, of which you mob are defo one at present.

Is this his first job this side of the hills?

Spelly.

I'm not phased one way or the other but as ever he starts with a clean slate and all our best wishes.

Let’s hope he can pull us round and even turn our season around. Glad we have someone at last

A safe pair of hands, and I'm not sure what else people could expect at this point.

Hopefully he is able to get the current squad performing somewhere near the capability, as they've been well below that recently.

Just a shame there's two more games to sit through before he takes charge.

I think safe pair of hands is the correct phrase, for where we are at an inexperienced coach at this level coming in would only add to the problem, he has a wealth of experience including holding upstairs roles in time gone by this will only help the rookie ceo we currently have, as for on the field he isn’t rebound for his flashy play however we have been playing poorly since I can remember I would much rather have a simple game plan that’s effective and win more games than play exciting but lose. He’s also a guy who likes having a big forward pack something we have lacked for many of years I think this appointment will grow on people and he will demand respect for players and strip us back to basics and right now I don’t see that as a bad thing

Just been reading what he said to Merseyside and quoted on our website. “ Had difficulty coming because of lack of investment, quality of players and table position but he’s bought into a dream”
That says a lot about our club, we live in and on hope and dreams.

His wealth of experience should be an asset in the current crisis he is inheriting. Hopefully he can get the players motivated and operating as a team, not expecting any miracles but certainly improvement is required and he should be able to deliver that. Agree it is frustrating he can’t start straight away. Hopefully of the two games played before he takes over we might at least manage to beat London at home.

Players need to be realizing that they’ll be looking for another club by the end of the season. Half the squad could go for me. I hope he turns things around.
