From official site

The Vikings are pleased to announce the loan signing of Huw Worthington, Prop Forward, from Leeds Rhinos on loan until the end of the season.

Worthington, 28, has just signed for the Rhinos. He is a former rugby union player who went to play rugby league in Australia where he was picked up by Sydney Roosters and played Reserve grade for them. Upon his return he had interest from several Super League clubs before signing for the Rhinos and then joining us on loan.

He is 6'1' and 111kg and will add more size to the Vikings pack as we go into the final part of the season.

Welcome Huw!

Hopefully someone from Widnes has seen him play. Personally I have never heard of him but he starts with a clean slate from me.

Can't  even find a mention of him on the Leeds website or their Twitter and Facebook.

Leeds fans are the same. Think they signed him an sent him straight out. He seems a big lad. Few union vids of him before he went to the 🐓

Not a familiar name to me either but he plays in a position that we have needed to strengthen for some time and is obviously adding size to the pack. Hopefully he does well.

@mt

Don't think the Aussies would have played him for long if he was totally useless!

You would think that NRL reserve grade is as good or better than the Championship so in theory he should be fine.

If you have played NSW cup you are going to be better than a squad player at widnes who can’t get minutes, this guy is going to be a big improvement for us

I have read he is splitting his time between us & Leeds reserve team. If true that is far from ideal playing twice a week or 1 week for us then 1 for them.

Surely just poor lazy journalism.
