Merch and sales

I have contacted the club a few times over the years to make suggestions for extra sales and revenue

expat package: Australian and NZ based widnes fans- a retro vest, cap, key ring and shorts for £60

Expat package: northern hemisphere based fans- wooly hat, scarf, hoodie and key ring £60

this offers a good deal and great for a family member who resides abroad for birthday/Christmas present. This might get people who wouldn’t normally spend money at the club to do so

family tickets on a match day- £50 2 adults and 2 kids

Kids who go to a game get a free Vikings sticker etc

The convert a mate incentive when you bring a mate or workmate to his/her first game gets in half price.

James Rule also had an idea about the PNG folk but it flopped. When I asked him at the meetings we had, he said they had no takers as it’s such a poor country. I would hate to only have a few takers of your ideas. Did like the last two bargains we had as it added more to the crowd but very little income

If you remember at the time SB we were inundated with fans from PNG and they tried to throw a line to the support that was growing every day. Didn't work i'm afraid but they did try.

For all I know, we might do this already, but it would be a great idea to donate our playing kits at the end of the season to club teams in rugby league mad countries who are poor .

All you need to do is take the names off the shirts and there would be at least two teams with "proper" kit and we would have supporters for years to come.

We already did that. I dropped off a dozen old shirts as others did which where sent to PNG as others did and to be honest never had a thank you from anyone, which is all i expected.

The club cannot be expected to produce items for a few people it's not productive at all, but i am sure if they box clever there must be loads and loads of unsold goodies in BOC's lock up.
