Still, good news about the chocolate oranges.
@vikingfox71 couldn't agree more ....squad player at best...gregson is absolute pants ...langtree who I'm a fan of and is class on his day...his body isn't up to it anymore ..past two seasons he's been predominantly injured ...hell done back he great for 3 games and then be out for three months....just really dumb...and to top it off we've just put a statement out saying we're committed to getting into super league for 2026 ...it's pure comedy

Liam Bent and a super league post says it all really the club have absolutely no idea at all. We’re a joke
@member151 I actually can't believe that they think we ll swallow a statement to apply for super league when apparently we on a six year plan ? Gregson and bent will go great in sl
I believe bent does deserve another 12 month contract because he is a hard working squad player but not the type of signing we had hoped for imo
absolutely no chance of us being in the super league this time around unfortunately.
hopefully it is a 3-5 year window for super league and then 1 up 1 down like the old franchise system which benefited us
Alan Coleman says he’s picked 15 of this years squad to keep next season so that’s 66%.
@farnworth-viking well if that does eventually play out that way it makes you wonder whose getting offloaded if bent and gregson are two of that 15
I would have Benty as part of the squad but we definitely need two big props and a running half back. If can sign Will Roberts would be a start. Anyone ask questions on the meeting?
Liam Bent tries hard in defence but he's not good enough to play second row. He's not big enough to play prop, making 4 or 5m every drive is not good enough to lay a platform for the halfbacks.
What are we doing? I've been thinking alot about finding something else to do on a Sunday, and his contract extention has massively disappointed me.

You heard different to me, then FV. He said he has about 15 signed up, not all are this years squad. Players have been signed and not announced, as of yet.
Paulie xx
Every team needs a Liam Bent.
he is an absolute workhorse. I remember similar comments about Willie Isa, who was a similar player.
Did anyone ask any questions or was it one way very autocratic? I like Benty work rate but we need props to make hard yards up the middle which is why we are in the league position now. If had 2 big hard yardage props with a decent running 6 we would be further up the table. The other question we know the player pool is not massive and players from Yorkshire do not want to travel too far for training. Oldham and North Wales have money investors, so does that make it more difficult because players this side prefer to go to these teams? Is our injuries due to a small squad, fatigue with less rotation and players smaller getting smashed more? He seems to love Gregson and I do not know what Alan see in him as a player? I want Gregson to succeed but every time I watch him he looks garbage at this level.
I would have Bent as part of a 25 man squad 100%. Top bloke, very hard worker and tough. He shouldn't be playing prop but that's because we let 2 props go and then we shot ourselves in the foot announcing Luke Thomas. He's stepped up and does his best.
However I don't think the club is very good at 'reading the room' to build it up as a big signing, as you can see from the reaction on here. It's also not fair on a solid pro like Bent.
It should have been a new signing, even for next season or something like Fozzards 3 year deal. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does anyone on the board have a back ground in sales and marketing, I don't think they do. We need to be more savvy in this area.
I went tonight and no questions were dodged.
AC spoke openly and honestly, he's gutted with how this season is panning out. Roger spoke well about the pathways that are being put in place. Dave Rolt is back involved in that side, he's Widnes through and through. The first product of this pathway, a young lad from HFH should be signing with us for next year.
if Bradford are promoted as a result of this announcement tonight, given big Nigel's involvement, then but for my love of our club I'd be close to giving up on the game once and for all. A total farce.
