Realise early doors yet but be interesting to see thoughts

jack out for sure along with Fleming, mcwhirter and the other chap

therefore

backs really need Joe edge back and assume we play Taylor again in centre

full back and wingers are no problem

half backs same

forwards

assume Murray,JJ,chapelhow

Baldrock, wilde

wilde

bench

fozzy,billington,Lawton and langtree

thoughts ?

I think we will rest a few players , because we’re probably going to lose anyway, and then play them against Halifax and Workington. And against Sheffield in November 😁🙄

We rested a few against Salford, Lawton, Ince and Gregson. Not sure if Roberts was injured or rested.

We do need Edge back with Owens suspended. We have a 9 day gap between games now and its at home so I would hope/expect we put a full side out.

This is the problem with loan players and not your own mate especially if getting the top end players after the 18 man squad. It came in useful to give a few players a rest even if it is just one game. Hopefully Wildie can stay longer and Leigh have players coming back soon so can keep him for the season. The loans in my opinon are just to come in to refresh your team. The good thing Kieran Taylor, Houghton and Sergent are getting an opportunity, and all look great prospects for us mate. Next year hopefully 1 or 2 more added from the Academy we are setting up.

The best possible side must be put out and a real attempt to win this game be the aim.

Why?well all too often after a good run and then getting a good crowd in Widnes have folded and produced weak performances. This game is a test of where the team are.If I was the coach they would be told that in no uncertain terms........it`s one thing putting big scores on scratch teams and having good individual performances ...now lets see who can produce the goods against the big boys.

I’ve been told Edge has passed his head test, so could play next week, if picked.

Be interesting to see what Widnes fans think Coleman should do next week. Play a full team and see how close we can get, or rest quite a few, so they’ll be fresh for the last 2/3 games.

@farnworth-viking Surely it would be a terrible idea to rest a few players. The last thing we need going into the last few games is a total humiliation at London's hands. I watched the game in London and for an hour we were still in the game. Admittedly London barely knew each other in the first game of the season and they always come strong towards the end, being full timers. But we can give them a game, as we gave Leeds a good game in the Cup. After all over half our team have been SL players at some point. For London this will just be a routine game, for our players it will be a motivating challenge.

Badrock in the Leigh squad to face Wigan on Friday, but it was to be expected. If Edge comes back in at centre and Roberts/Lawton in the back row alongside Wilde and Langtree then we dont need him.

Wilde as predicted not in the Leigh squad, I think he will bring Gregson back at 13 so Wilde will be on the bench to come on for Chapelhow and Murray.

Don't think it matters what team we put out coz we'll get battered immaterial....be nice to put up a decent fight but can't see us getting within 20 of them...maybe even 30 ....just the realism of playing a full time  team stacked with internationals

@cumbria-viking I know what you are saying but I think stacked with intrrnationals is a bit of a stretch, the PNG players are from the PNG hunters semi pro Queensland Cup team, although the way the game is evolving on both sides of the world the Queensland Cup will probably overtake SL very soon.

London have been putting 40 - 50 points on everyone but they lost to Bradford in the cup and we put up good showings against Leeds, Warrington and Wakefield when in the Championship. If we raise our game as a 1 off like in the Challenge Cup I think it will be close for 60 mins. We only lost 25 - 12 to Leeds who are top of SL.
