For anyone in any doubt forget any romantic ideas we'll hit the play offs again this season we are absolutely miles off it ...just baton down the hatches and get ready for those middle 8s ...us Batley hunslet and London by far worst in league ATM could add Sheffield tbh.. Just pray we hopefully have  enough in the tank to hold off north Wales ..as they'll probably be the only threat to us being relegated....and that sums up how crap we are .....there's literally zero to be enthusiastic about ...woeful in defence and just making it up in attack ....gregson over Roberts today was shameful..

@cumbria-viking Bro I think you should chill out a little here. I understand your frustration as I’m sure all widnes fans aren’t happy with our current situation but it’s not the end of the world. Yes we’re a mid championship club atm but I feel just pointing out the obvious isn’t going to help us. I try to think of suggestions that can possibly help improve the club

Way too early for this level of negativity. The three new squad members and players returning from injury will train together and gel, as we approach two very winnable games. I think we beat London away and Halifax at home, then look to plot a route to the outer fringes of the playoffs from there.

People are entitled to disagree.Perhaps you were emotional and posting under the influence but I get your frustration.Widnes have won one game only since the coach signed his new contract seven weeks ago,a contract awarded prematurely in my opinion..Yesterday was a fair effort apparently but still another defeat in the high thirties which he said wouldn't happen again after York in the cup game but has done three times since.Widnes are likely to be coached next year by someone who guided the team to 8th/ 9th position after 5th in 2024.It gives the impression of rewarding mediocrity.

I am just as frustrated as you mate but the coaches had are Finnigan, Purtill, Cummins and many interim ones since Dennis Betts. The problem I see is we don't have money to spend like other clubs and the people who have come in are fans like me and you on the board. I don't understand why Coleman keeps playing Gregson over Max Roberts and we need a top running number 6, strike centre over Jack Owens and another big direct back rower. What do we do give up and fold or keep looking for rich sponsors and money people to ignite us to the next level. I am envious Oldham, Featherstone, Bradford, York and North Wales having the money.

If we sacked the coach who we bring in and the cost? We have had a few average and bad ones, but also you need the quality players too.

Overall also need another two big forwards, Strike centre and a running number 6. Wish we had them mate.

Our last 7 games reads won 1, drawn 1, lost 5. Thats bottom 4 form. Respectfully to Hunslet, our one win came over a side that didn't expect to be playing in the Championship this season.

The team 1 place below us is Featherstone who I fully expect to overtake us. They have hit form now and have a much better squad than us. The team in 6th, the last play off place is York. They have already battered us twice, so I don't see how we can make the top 6. That's not negative just realistic.

Apparently Featherstone were utter garbage early season but they're turning it round now so it can be done.Whether it can be done here is another story.London is the biggest must win game so far,defeat doesn't bear thinking of.

Yes frustrating for us all to follow, but the club are now trying with 3 new players and when we have the injured back and up to full complement we may be able to compete

we are not the richest club in the league and in all honesty there are not very many players available that could improve the team

Without a benefactor we will have to continue as we are and I feel Coleman is probably one of the best coaches at this level

but I share frustration with some of his selections - particularly at 13

@prisoner

well he brought stability in his first season, playoffs in the second and started this season with a squad that were working well for each other. Then injuries and the gannon situation seemed to derail the team spirit.

with the 3 new players - all ac signings and players returning from injuries let’s see where we go.
