We are a holiday club and we will lose this game. I saw the expression on Kears face and the players in the Longhouse bar it said enough to me. They have not got the right body language and always an excuse. Mid to lower end club Widnes, and the fans are leaving because definitely had enough of crunchie performances.
Agree it seems like the current squad and coach are happy to play championship rugby, we need a clear out and a new coach who has ambitions of getting us promoted with say a 5 year plan because IMO that’s what it’s going to take.

Not sure where the cash for a hybrid squad and reintroducing the academy is coming from? If would suggest that without significant outside investment it’s just a pipe dream.

What we want is a team capable of competing consistently at the top end of the Championship and reaching the play-offs; and potentially getting into SL.
Other than Featherstone, the teams below them have not been consistent this season and any five of them could reach the play-offs at this stage, including Widnes.
Posters talk of the supposed holiday camp atmosphere at the club, but strangely these comments come after another disappointing loss. Maybe if and when we get a few more positive results in coming games, the holidays may come to an end!!!
I am sure that everyone at the club is ambitious to want SL, we are just not good enough or have the financial backing to achieve this at the moment. I would rather we brought in a prop or two and and half-back for this season, than a marketing manager.

Agree with you Sinbad some players are not good enough for even in the Championship. If they can play really well one week they need to show it consistently not when they feel like it. It is down to attitude mindset and wanting a winning mentality, which I think a few don't seem to have in the team.
@frankg we need to think long term rather than just this season as it’ll probably be the second time round of IMG licensing that we will have a chance of gaining promotion.

99% of people on here to games and put their money into the club so let’s not use that. Every game we’ve lost or been atrocious I've called the club and players for it…
difference is mick I’m balanced and give praise when it’s due unlike others on here who just want to run the club down no matter what they try. I’m certainly not blinkered because I criticise as well.
I agree with others that the style of play is boring, I agree with Sinbad (and everyone else saying) that we haven’t won enough games this year. Has anyone else been on holiday this season other than Amor? Another thing I completely disagree with.
However I disagree that the league behind fev is poor. You put this Fev team in SL this year and they stay up above Wakefield and on current form I think they do better than Cas. It’s all about personal opinions but for me, the championship is of much better quality of player and standard than it was before we got promoted

it's getting very tight at the wrong end of the table, and whilst it looks like Thunder are almost certs for the big drop, it may well be on the last day of term to decide who joins 'em, so......
