Has the Farnworth mystery been resolved?

Several posters have expressed concern that we don't seem to have any news as to when Owen Farnworth will be available to play for us next. I may have missed something, but he's certainly a player we could do with ASAP. A shoulder injury has been mentioned, against Saints, which could be anything from bruising to a serious shoulder problem. As a player who has always taken the ball up regardless of his own personal safety, injuries are inevitable, but we could certainly do with him back!

No news is usually bad news, here. Not a durable player it seems.I think he put together a fair run of games in the recent past but that was an exception.

I agree it tends to be, hoping its not though, as he would certainly be in our top 4 props if available

When it first happened I'm sure it was touch and go for the firstly league game, then no news. So a strange one.

Gilmour announced as surgery in a few weeks on a ruptured pectoral muscle, then an extended period out. Johnstone 3 - 4 weeks with a shoulder injury, Lawton 12 days concussion protocol then straight back in. Evans recovered,  Roberts a hamstring injury and back soon, all mentioned in press conferences. Farnworth our best prop, no mention,  it is a bit odd.

I'd go a lot further than that and say he's in the top 4 props in the league.  If Owen didn't get some many injuries early in his career I'd pretty certain he'd be playing Super League now.  We're arguably missing 3 of our best players in JJ/Farnworth and Gilly.  Maybe this gives us that big boost mid-season when we start getting them back.

Solved, he's been ill, will gradually return to training.  Gilmore 4-5 months, now had surgery. Roberts needs ankle surgery 4-5 months as well. Brookes hamstring 2-3 weeks.

Such a shame for Max Roberts. Looked good in pre season. Hope Farnworth can recover quickly from illness.  We're not having much luck with injuries so far.

Farnworth illness must be bad to be out this long. Hope he isn't too bad and recovers soon, whatever the illness involves. Quick recovery your a big miss.

Credit is due to John Kear though, as despite our injuries we still have a good squad to select from. Imagine the absolute disaster we would now be in the middle of if we didn’t have such a big squad!
