Signed for us on a season long loan, then signs for Bradford and is looking forward to playing for a 'good team' Also hoping they put on a bus over from Lancashire for him! Bradford with respect is a bit of a dive with an average team, an hours drive away.

The players don't look interested at Widnes and the fact he has walked so soon isn't a good endorsement for the club.

Not sure it’s a good endorsement on him? Previous loan players have done well here.  Any how we have not lost Kurt so upwards on onwards.

There's absolutely no issues with Robson on the pitch, his efforts and ability in all of his Widnes performances cannot be questioned IMO.

Either he or Warrington must have requested a recall (given Widnes' apparent reluctance/frustration in the statement).

And that must ring alarm bells...

A sad state of affairs

We can't continue to rely on loan players as we just aren't high enough in the pecking order of clubs that SL teams want to send their players to, at lesat this is the way it seems at the moment.Whether our poor results have influenced the situation, how much of it is down to our training set up or even the pitch is unclear but it seems pretty obvious this shouldn't be the way forward beyond this season. And if it is we will be having the same frustrating scenario arise again and again.

Why have you all missed, or chose to ignore, the bit “he will be joining another club that operates a full time training environment” in the report?

Good point. He also mentioned the chance to work under a proven coach in John Kear.

The club is dying

The club is dead

Sorry state of affairs

The club is in big trouble

All this and more on this thread ..  wake up people he is a wire.  He could be a total nightmare around the team may even a bad influence to other players when socialising.  Only the club and players know ..  it could be wire it could be personal.  Its funny that a lot of blame is being directed at the club with no evidence.

Bit hard to believe Robson was a bad influence given he has been at the club before and come back for a second spell. I'm not blaming the club but I doubt very much that the club wanted to lose him.

Robson has tweeted that he’s not got a bad word to say about Widnes and that we’re “a great club”. So I’m guessing wire just wanted him moved on. Jib them off if they try and send anyone else here.

Jewitt won’t play this season

Do you mean that he is long-term injured or is refusing to play?

I’m in agreement with those saying we should stop dealing with Warrington. They are essentially taking the Mickey out of us.

Everything's relative though.

For a player on loan, it's a short term thing - they don't want to be playing at bottom end of Championship if they need to earn a full-time deal somewhere. I don't particularly agree with the decision (whoever's it was) less than two weeks after supposedly committing until end of season, but it's within the rules (maybe there needs to be a rule that prevents clubs recalling to loan someone out in the same division; or even a rule limiting how many clubs a player can play for in a season).

That doesn't necessarily mean that Widnes is dead, dying or otherwise. Nor does it mean Widnes has financial trouble.

Likewise, a few bad results on the pitch and the jury being out on the coach doesn't mean the club's dying either. Not everyone can win.

I will agree with all of that James.

It seems that Warrington were not happy with our part-time set up. In that case, I guess that Doro will be recalled too.

This is the problem with loan deals, with the parent club able to recall players at short notice. Not a lot we can do this year, but having a small squad supplemented by short term loan deals does not work. I would hope the club will be planning to recruit a bigger first team squad next year - 30? - with the need to bring in loans in exceptional circumstances to cover injuries.

This year, I would hope that we are looking to bring in at least two more forwards  on season long deals, either on loan deals or otherwise. There must be a surplus of players at SL clubs who are unlikely to get a game, who clubs may release on a season long deal.

All this, of course, depends on whether players are available and we have money available to sign players.

As for not dealing with Warrington, I guess beggars can't be choosers. We desperately need players and if a decent player is available from Warrington, preferably on a season long loan, then do we have any choice?

Whats is wrong with saying that I am waiting for the club to sign someone? If the club is skint, then they should tell us, they were quick enough put out a video of the CEO saying money is available. If there is no money in the club, the CEO should tell us, not someone on a forum! One of the first thing this new board said, was they were going to be transparent with the fans remember.

Would you class yourself as a fan then ?
