Noticed the ref ignored a blatant shoulder charge on Kenny in the first half!
I have a feeling that the Disciplinary Cttee will be having a look at the game with so many injuries in tackles. Didn't see anything untoward from us myself but you know what Yorkies are!!!
I actually thought that the game was a good advertisement for Championship RL with some well worked tries, despite the conditions. There was some strong running from both sets of forwards.
As said Joe Lyons played well, particularly in the second half which was pleasing.
Also good that Eribe Doro is staying for the season, looks settled and a better player in a more rounded squad compared to next year.
I may be in the minority, but I’m glad the ref didn’t send the Dewsbury lad off or to bin for that challenge on Ince. It was clearly accidental.
Accidental or not, he not only put Ince out of the game with concussion but he is also likely to miss the next few games.
It was a nasty tackle to the head causing injury, for me it should have been a yellow card at least.
Referees are just like everyone else, we can’t expect to behave like machines and see the game the same way as another ref.
My beef is with the people (experts??) on the match reviews. One panel who have no excuse for treating all incidents across the game in a consistent manner.
The world and its partner could see it was a head shot, yellow card minimum. Accidental or not, Dewsbury lad should have been off the field. As it was, Ince/Widnes were put to a disadvantage, shocking from the ref, lets not forget there were two guys running the lines as well, were they also partially sighted??
@cuerdley-viking totally agree should have got 10 at least! Even if we overcame it, it still put us at a disadvantage! No use to us or Ince but Carr will probably get a ban
We are now 3rd favourites for the Grand Final behind Featherstone and Leigh, up from 8th at the start of the season.
To be fair, they had us as 3rd favourites after the Workington win!
