Widnes lead 18 -10 Lawton makes a break & puts Holroyd in. He needed that after his earlier mistake.

Close in Fozzard puts Dupree under the sticks, Tyrer converts 24 -10 should be enough now for the win. Cannot relax though.

Lawton in .This is a very very good performance now. 4 out of 4 albeit 3 against the bottom sides but 3 away games all won including one at Halifax who the experts & bookies had to finish 3rd at the season end.

Great performance and Lyons did well in for Craven. Roby, Doro, Lawton and Grady I liked tonight. 🥖🥖💪👍

We are now 3rd favourites for the Grand Final behind Featherstone and Leigh, up from 8th at the start of the season.

Only watched it on the box, but thought you came up with a professional performance in (albeit for both teams) not the best of conditions.

Lawton is a bonny lad, and looks a real handful!

Four from four, and joint top with Fev, which I'm sure you're more than happy with.

Next week, will obviously be a much sterner test for you, and I'm sure that Lam's Lads will be well up for it, coz whoever gets through that, will be looking optimistically at the 1895 Final.

Hopefully, it'll be on a firmer track than last night, and some flowing football can be played.

Well done so far, and good luck at Beaumont-ville!

Spelly

A great result, but they really need one of those furry things they put over the mic's to reduce the wind noise while interviewing Finnegan.  I could hardly hear anything he said.

Lyons short kicking game, and his discipline, is better IMO than Craven's, and it's good for Danny to have some competition. Any of half a dozen could have won MOM. Smith again showed great generalship.

Maybe it was just because Rams ran out of steam but I thought we changed tactics to good effect in the second half with Smith often kicking early to play the game in the Rams half come what may. In the first half we got bogged down with the battle in the middle.

Good that Joey Lyons had them measured and allowed Smithy to just tick over for some of the second half at least. Some clever kicks etc from Joey, and used Lawton to the best effect, he's not a mud-plugger but give him a dry ground and a decent feed and he will bother any defence. One marker won't stop him!!!!

Great win and well deserved, in the first half it was Widnes of old not pushing up in defence letting Dewsbury make easy yards all the time. Second half we pushed up in defence and took control. Lyons showed that we miss a creative halfback and he made the difference, Craven has not played well for a long time now and maybe Lyons performance will be the wake up call for him.

Looking forward to see how we perform in the dry months it could be exciting for us fans.
