@jdgsport Would rather keep the Warrington lad over Fleming, appears to other more.
Agreed the wire lad offers a stronger defensive option and gains 10-15m every time he takes the ball in. Fleming is poor in attack and defensive so personally I’d like to keep Zak till the end of the season. On a side not people claiming Bradford have 11 missing that team they put out there is a starting 13 at most championship clubs on paper a lot stronger then are 13 so an absolutely great win against them “ super league” hopefuls
A great win that was deserved after a great second half. I thought both Butt and Ince had a great games, and our forwards outworked their pack, but I thought that Owens had a decent game in the centres considering his form has been a bit off lately. I think that could be the future for him in that position.
Decent highlights and commentary now on Bulls tv.
@martin Our highlights always look amateurish. No idea why the cameras not on the half way line.

Totally agree V25, very amateurish indeed. I’ve seen our highlights and tries are missed!!, very amateurish indeed. Waiting for full match on Bulls TV much better with decent commentary.
Apart from anything else a strong Widnes benefits all the NW clubs in terms of gates etc .
Still think that Jack is carrying a bit of an injury to his right foot or leg. He didn't kick off or indeed kick at all, but he was involved in Ince's tries.

And his lovely pass to Butty on the first half hooter was bombed by the wingman.

I think we are getting a team we can be proud of. You cannot fault their effort. Alan is right when he asks for 'bums on seats' its been too easy for years to moan and sit at home, now is the time for those of us who go to spread the word that we are getting better but will improve more if the town gets behind them.
The town is full of people who say 'not going until they improve' and have said this for years!
Widnes people will find any excuse not to go; pitch, council, state of the old ground, Wid yer Widnes, selling Offiah, Hamilton, Sammy Evans, poor players, Aaron Moule, Jack Owens, Vaughan, Rule, O'Connor, Backhouse..... on and on and on.
On the pitch, the big thing for me is Kirk and Murray, they just go forward all of the time.
I also think that once he gets more of 'his own' players in next year we can be even better.
Widnes couldn't fill the North stand in SL so no chance in this division.Plenty of others before Coleman have called for more suppport. The first home game after beating Canberra Raiders was attended by about 6000.There were two away defeats at Sheffield and Warrington so the world club challenge win was forgotten
There are many reasons for the reducing fan base over the years eg cost of living, more outside interests, poor performances over a number of years, not being in SL, ageing fan base etc etc.
In my view, crowds of 3,000/4,000 are the most we can expect in the Championship, which is a lot more than most Clubs. My guess is that if we ever get to SL again (doubtful) and were able to be competitive, we could attract crowds of 6000/7000 or more. Maybe if the RFL/Sky actually started promoting the game as a whole, rather than just SL, more fans could be attracted to the lower divisions.
One of the many problems in the current game is that fans really don't know the team from one season to the next or even one game to the next.
Until we can build a decent Widnes squad without the need for loans/dual registration, how can fans be expected to support "their team"? Under Coleman, we now seem to be building a decent squad of players capable of performing in the Championship. Hopefully we can build a bigger squad next year, able to compete, without the need for loans/dual registration, and the town could then get behind "their team".

Well let's get 3500 to start with, and then try and edge up to 4k in 2025.
The matchday experience has improved dramatically. Longhouse fan zone, pre game, and everybody welcome in the Bridge Suite post game for the presentations, Coach's assessment, and your kids can get the players autographs.
It's on the up, it's time for the malcontents to get involved.

League average attendance this year for us by (admittedly) my maths is 2742 which isn't too bad but I agree that now things are progressing again could do with more of the casuals coming back.
Overall average is about 300 less if you count the cup games.
Would love to see a push for the Featherstone and Sheffield games- both against fellow top 6 contenders...
