@farnworth-viking least we can support their club by putting some money in the coffers.
As I said individual scoring records mean nothing now
complete farce
but the great thing is they beat Newcastle early season
thanks taffs x
116-6 FT. Richardson scored 48 points according to the BBC. Assume both are records.
Can't criticise Coleman and the team for this win. As they say, you can only beat the team in front of you and it seems that they kept up the pressure for the full 80 minutes. Have we solved the goal kicking problem we have had this season?
How long will the Crusaders last. Funny how the RFL claim to want to expand the game, but seem to make little effort to help development of the game in Wales.
St Helens are struggling this year. How long will McManus want to keep putting his money in to a failing club and a failing game?
@frankg today's game is no good for either side
then keighleys game at home called off because pitch too hard and rutted ... but they played a women's game on it a hour previous?
this league and the way its being run is a complete joke and no one is held accountable for the farce which is rl these days
saints getting booed off is always fun though!!
Well that did our points difference a lot of good with now almost sixty more than Doncaster and a good win next week will take us to fourth and then for us to lose. Difficult to pick a motm match; Richardson for his points, Connell for his involvement, Houghton for his minutes, Gilmore for his leadership, Fozzard for starting the ball rolling with his runs from dummy half. To be honest anyone of the team
@vikingfox71 Totally agree that results like today are no good for the game, but you can't blame the coach and the players for that.
The game is in trouble and this is down to those running the game. Pouring more money into a few teams in SL is not the answer. Neither is bringing in players not good enough for the NRL and with few exceptions, not really adding anything to the game.
Maybe the demise of St Helens despite the money invested by McManus will make some people think that there needs to be a fundamental change in direction. We need to consider how we can grow a competitive game here and develop our own players. Selling the soul of the game to the NRL and a weekend in Las Vegas is not the direction either.
What is needed are two competitive leagues, with promotion and relegation based on performance on the pitch: a limit on the number of imported players, with an emphasis on developing our own quality players; and a salary cap fair to all teams.
I actually believe that Derek Beaumont has the best interests of the game at heart (behind the Leopards) has has previously supported a two league structure. Maybe he should be asked to carry out an urgent review of the game and come up with a plan to save the sport.
