Assuming Oldham beat Midlands it'll be them Barrow or Sheffield next depending on rankings , tbh I'm not sure where we rank but we should be fairly confident at home , they've all got big packs however , something we tend to struggle with
Not confident of beating Oldham twice on the spin. Barrow/Sheff at home yes.
We were disappointing yesterday, we can’t afford to give a team like Newcastle 12 points with 2 interception tries and some poor tackling near the line to let them score.
We did well to get back in it, but then JJ had to go off with a head knock and we started to struggle again.
We had a good chance with about 20 minutes left and only 8 behind, when Richardson made a very good break, but then about 15 out he passed to a Newcastle player instead of one of his teammates who would have had no one to beat.
Their(or Yorks 🙄) full back Harrison, had a very good game and caught every ball that came his way, and often made quite a bit of ground after catching the ball.
I thought we looked tired after a couple of very tough games in the last 12 days , and Wilde missing and JJ only playing half an hour.
If we can manage to beat (probably Oldham) at home next week, our reward will probably be a trip to London in the semi finals 🙄
Horrible feeling Coleman’s celebrations and interview he did last will come back to bite us next week.
Kilshaw would love nothing more than to knock us out of the play offs
It probably won’t matter, because whoever wins will probably have to play London away.
Right so looks like Oldham at home then !
hopefully we can do it after 8 days rest

* Genuine question - Why? My mate at the 'Yeds is not impressed!

Why is he not impressed? Better chance beating us than London or Doncaster. We look knackered as got no loan Super League players who are full time like London and Newcastle. Plus got a few injuries and are running on little gas and I can not see us going any further if beat Oldham. Hope I am wrong but we looked flogged at Newcastle.
Next year be interesting if just a part time league as full time always an advantage.
The reason I ask is coz Oldham finished higher than you on the ladder, but they've gotta travel.
As a neutral, it seems unfair to me.
It should be good game, and I'd prob have gone to it, but our ladies are hosting the Broncos in the Championship play-off final (we finished above them, therefore we're at home) with the winner then being a mere eighty minutes away from playing SL football next term.
COME ON YOU LIONESSES!!!!!!!!

@begg to be fair we do have Richardson and Sambou. Can Doolan play on Sunday as part of his 'season long loan'
We need Sambou and Wilde fit vs Oldham and I would also play Lewis Hall, his kind of game.

Sambou has hardly played for us so just Richardson consistently. We could do with Billington and if JJ out then need a hooker. Not sure on the rules, but thought had to play 5 games on loan to be allowed in the playoffs? Well we do not have 5 loans like Newcastle and then York reserves. Hopefully beat Oldham but then London away we are definitely out.

We are talking about the RFL who can not organise crunchie. We come 5th and play 3rd away. It should be 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th if was done correctly. We beat Oldham away who are 3rd and get a trip away to 2nd place Newcastle who had a week rest. But Oldham had the easier game against Midlands. It is all crazy and 10 teams in a playoff is too many mate.
Ten is defo too many I agree mate. I would've thought maybe top six?
Even though you've already won at the 'Yeds, I still think it's unfair for them now to come to you. But we're talking about the RFL are we not?
It could possibly inspire 'em, and I can see it being a tasty encounter. They should take a healthy following with 'em, which'll raise a few quid for both clubs.
Our game kicks off at 2.00 pm, so I'll hopefully be able to catch the back end of yours on the radio when heading home.

It looks like Pascal has answered you mate. Anyway you answered your own question it is the RFL so it is unfair for sure and a 50/50 game for me against Oldham and even if we win I can not see us going much further it is just a nice little earner of money for players for next season. I would love us in the final but my money is on London winning it comfortably. If we lose I be supporting Oldham, but I feel so many tough games for part time teams will take its toll in my opinion. The extra rest for London and Newcastle will benefit them and London deserve to go up on merit because I am a believer the top team should do mate. I am for promotion and relegation every season it brings excitement to the game and something to play for to be honest. Sorry I did not meet you at the final I got there last minute and I am sure we will meet sometime.
